Re: Fair enough.

You watch as he walks into the serf, the waves rising to engulf him completely and he's gone from your site. As you walk into the surf the gentle and soothing feelings of the warm waters washes over you. You step into your knees, then your waist, then your shoulders are submerged. As a wave washes o...

Re: TOS+ Newsletter August 16th 2009

The First Campaign is just that. We're the first Play by Post that admin agreed to allow on a trial basis. My players and I were able to try out The Only Sheet - and Later, TOS+ in an actual game setting. Noting bugs and making suggestions for improvements based on how people will use the sheet - to...

Re: Fair enough.

Good. Excellent. I'm so glad you agree. His look is perplexed though. Do I talk so much like a meandering stream? I had never noticed that. It has been some time since I spoke at length to anyone other than my plants.... Perhaps I have lost the art of conversation. But truth to tell, I don't recall...

Re: Fair enough.

Klakxor gets up at the the sight of the food and rushes over. He has become quite used to the strange things that happen while adventuring and gladly accepts the food. He eats whatever he can, quite enjoying the food. Than, you were right. All we needed to do was go to sleep before something more c...

Re: Fair enough.

Ondurin doesn't respond, but somehow, that doesn't seem at all odd. He's safe and nearby. It's you who is somehow far away... You all get the sense that you are somehow far from, home... home? That's not right. You were in an inn, not at home, yet you feel far from "home." The man smiles at the pixi...

Fair enough.

As you continue talking through the night you find the dinner is filling, the conversation slowing, and your eyes growing heavier.... Perhaps someone's sprinkled pixie dust on your food, or maybe it's just been a while since you last slept. As you think about it, the latter seems about right. You le...

The food is brought to the three of you. And you await the arrival of the fourth of your party... who should be there any second now.... ready to enter and talk to the rest of you... Of course, it wouldn't be the first time one of your party just up and disappeared without any say, and since you're ...

Re: Background...

This would be a good time for everyone to post at least once to let the other players know who your characters are, etc... I'm still waiting for a character sheet. I'll postpone the validation till Saturday... but you can run this part for yourselves... kind of get a feel for each other and such. At...

It's hard to believe how much has happened in the last few years... As soon as I have Red's sheet, we're off.

I will try to find time tomorrow to post the opening sequence - even if the sheet isn't in hand, we can at least get that started...

Re: We're back!

1/2 fae is exotic, and ok. Starting gold as per the standard rules for level 6. (I believe it's in the DMG but I'm too lazy right this moment to look it up...) Go with this - anything reasonable... just put it down. If I have a problem, I'll let you know. Just don't get greedy...

Re: We're back!

Anything I allowed before, is fine by me. Anything incorporated in the tosplus is simple enough to entertain. If you really want to do something special or crazy let me know and I'll let you know if I can't work it into the system. Which is to say if you want to play a silverdragon who's pretending ...

Re: We're back!

Kay, that means we've got 4. Not the best, but doable. I believe most of the characters were level 3 or 4 when we left off. We'll restart at level 6. Post your character concept and send me the tosplus file as soon as you're done with it. Xlaxkor I am pming you the latest file I have on your charact...

We're back!

Hi all. Long story as to where I've been and why I've been gone... some of it is in the last post (dead or onhold?) but the bottom line is I'm going to try again and get my feet back in the game. I'm taking on one game, and so should not have my focus split anymore. I'll take 6-8 players. Returning ...

OK.. well that's two... I guess the first move is getting this out of the cemetery and onto the main index again... then recruiting... we'll sort of skip time a bit and maybe even restart. I'll try to log on once or twice a week - figure wednessday and maybe Sunday... once we're on the main board......

Re: On Hold, or dead?

No, not dead. I'm just a really bad DM. Lots of personal stuff took place this last year. Mostly, with my wife and a very difficult pregnancy. Bottom line is the happy ending. I am now the proud papa of two twin boys. And with the summer coming up, I'm going to be the caregiver from home, while my w...

And off you go down the street. You are only accosted once by the watch to check your papers, and otherwise free to continue to the warehouse district. There, you find the particular warehouse as indicated on the more recent map. The area isn't as pristine as the rest of the city - but it's not in d...

Re: Taking the Fight Home

Bolt entered the tent last, of those of us now in the tent. You all recognize him at once. He is, after all, one of the few wealthy men who has been financing this war. As a Xeph, he's not particularly imposing - standing unarmed and only 5'5" at 100 lbs. His stance is casual, and his sapphire eyes ...

Re: Let the games begin --- again

As you speak the dragon rises more from the chasm, until it is fully perched on the lip. Those of you who have never seen a dragon before simply gape at it's size. It makes a castle seem like a doll house. For those of you who have seen dragons before you are simply amazed. This dragon makes the gre...

Amity listens intently to what they say about each of the tattoos. She's especially interested in her own - and to which god it is connected. "I don't know much about religion, at all. Except so much as it has played a part in the history of our world. And even in that, I don't know a ton. I just lo...

Armored night will do well, thank you. After I cast, I'll take up the readied cross bow - and fire off a shot at the nearest orc. Then drop the crossbow onto the saddle horn by it's strap. As I pass the others - if I think I can lift anyone into the saddle as I go, I'll do so and head onto the gates...

You all get up to leave. Thandael goes to pay, but is informed that your bill has already been taken care of. (Sara makes a head motion to the bard). As you leave, Klaxkor offers to stay behind and catch up with the rest of you. (PM me what you intend to do - and we'll handle it on the side.) The re...

The book lists examples... but I was really hoping for some type of weakish air elemental... maybe something from a demi plane like a smoke elemental or some such look a like type that could help give the party cover - if you aren't on board with that - go with the celestial fire beetle - if you are...

The bard, seeing as you are all ignoring him, begins to play along with a simple tune. You find he's talented for as he plays his instrument he gains back a bit of his confidence and the first notes of nervous fumbling give way to a pleasant instrumental that is quite pleasant. The meal goes quickly...
