Worrel grips his shield firmly, ready to advance when an opponent appears.

Readied Action to Move Through / By Lola, if something appears from that direction. Or, to move to the south if Cyrius &/or Prost dispatch the doppelganger.

 

Worrel waits for his companions to advance, rather than pushing past them.

Worrel has been watching the door, ready to explode into action.

Worrel nods, as he tightens his grip on his sword and shield. He whispers, "i have flint and steel, in my pack."

Worrel stands ready, sword in hand.

Worrel looks to his companions, wondering whether he should go through first since he likely has the most protection.

So .. send the armored paladin through first?

 

Worrel glares at the doppelganger before quietly stating, “"Do you want to tell us anything?”

Unfortunately, Worrel is not particularly intimidating.

Worrel trots along, trying to keep up with his companions.

Worrel looks behind them, in case the doppelgangers somehow return.

Worrel tries to recognize whether the trim and emblems on the outfits have any meaning.

“"I don't suppose that anyone recognizes this clothing?,"” asks Worrel. “"Are there any family or house crests? I have some room in my pack, so let's take them along."”

Worrel folds the clothing carefully before placing it in his pack.

Worrel tears a strip of fabric from the doppelganer's shirt to form an improvised gag. One advantage of wearing gauntlets is that he can simply shove the cloth into the prisoner's mouth without worrying about being bitten.

Worrel leads the way down the corridor, trying each door as he passes. Before he tries the door at the western end of the corridor, he looks up at the doppelganger. "Does anyone else think that we should also gag this fellow?" , he asks quietly. Presuming that his companions agree, the pal...

“"I can lead,"” states Worrel. “"I am better armored than any one else."”

Once his companions are ready, Worrel pauses. “"Here we go ..."”

Once his companions indicate that they are ready to proceed, Worrel opens the door.

 

Worrel remains near the door as Lola speaks. He asks, over his shoulder, “"Do you want to go back through that flooded area? Or, do you mean finding another way out of this building?"”

“"Have the spiders retreated?,"” asks Worrel. “"Or, seeking reinforcements? I will watch in case they return."”

"We have driven them off," declares Worrel. "I think." Worrel peers upwards, hoping to see signs of the creatures movement on the walls or ceiling. "I will guard, if they return. And guard our backs." Worrel stands ready to attack, should the spiders return. I can roll...

Worrel shakes the rope gently before saying, “Lead on, then.”

Worrel would normally feel better with his sword in hand but, at the moment, keeping hold of the doppelganger seems like a better option.

“By 'trapped', what exactly do you mean?,” asks Worrel.

“"Annoying noises, and the like, telling your friends that someone is approaching? Or, explosions, swinging blades or the floor opening up to drop us into a pit full of more octopi?"”
