Perhaps you can reach out to podcasters or youtube creators who cover RPG topics. A couple that I watch regularly are The Secret Cabal and Taking20.

Re: Data from Experts 3.5?

(I'm far from a coding expert) You don't need to be a coding expert to make classes/races... even a basic understanding of excel will get you far!! The "Monkey see, Monkey do" approach works fine for almost everything!! admin Very true. I learned a lot about how the Sheet works by looking...

Re: The challenges of PbP gaming

Here are some things I do, as GM, to help with this. 1. Use a LOT of descriptive detail when you post. This gives you the ability to subtly leave more clues for the players to notice and take action on. 2. Passive perception. Treat all PCs as always taking 10 on Spot/Listen (Perception in PF). I do ...

No surprise, that announement. I will observe developments as they progress, but only with a vague curiousity -- just to see what they will try to do in order to 'gather' the fan base. Like many here, I was unsatisfied with 4E, and expect the same from 5E. Still, it should be interesting to watch.

I believe he is asking if the Binder class (from Tome of Magic) is available. While that class cannot be built into the Sheet (copyright prevents it), I can confirm that the class has been built by a fellow user and is available for loading.

Re: How to Split Treasure in a PbP??

So the goal of this thread is: HOW BEST to split treasure in a Pbp?!? 3x Ideas: Use the Loot Divider to 'tag' all the treasure, and compute the 'value' of what PCs received: The first pick goes to the one who has 'taken' the least I like this idea, but I do see the extra effort required on the part...

Re: ipad

I have two lenovo thinkpads (a T-42 and a T-61). They are each about 12" by 9.5" and weigh in at 5 or 6 pounds. They take up less space on the table than an open gaming book and barely more space than a closed gaming book. Neither I nor the spouse game without one.

I can't argue with the idea of a 'choose your own adventure' style multiple choice. It is so hard to get six players to quickly agree on a plan when you go a day between posts.

Re: An Important Notice Regarding Wizards of the Coast PDFs

maybe, but if not then whats the point? Exactly. At this point, WotC doesn't even know what they are going to do about pdfs! They just yanked it ALL! This has just become typical of them. Make some major change, with little or no notice; let the fanbase stew over it for weeks; finally release a lam...

Re: An Important Notice Regarding Wizards of the Coast PDFs

They've pulled ALL pdf sales, including otherwise out-of-print material. rpgnow has the same notice on their site. WotC gave less than two-day's notice.
