Ruadhnait switches tactics, seeing that her spear doesn't seem to be effective. Instead, she times her attacks so as to better assist Jiam. Her intent is not to cause harm, so much as to distract and harass the foe (aid another action).

Observing Jiam's fighting strategy, Ruadhnait is suddenly glad that she is female. She continues to assist the monk, timing her attacks such that there is no chance of inflicting injury on her companion.

Ruadhnait spends much of the time keeping an eye out for food (game animals). She makes her rations go as far as possible, limiting herself to eating only a small amount at each meal. She watches the strangers with curiosity, but does not speak to them unless approached.
