TOS+ and Arcana Evolved

Post by Noffham »

I just want to know if the Only Sheet can handle the OGL variant rules from Monte Cook's Arcana Evolved?

Thanks!

Hmm I don't know that source book... Does it deviate from the SRD rules?

With some customization, yes. I believe someone else worked on this in the past with success. I don't have the book personally, though, and I don't recall seeing the fruits of the other's labors posted here, so I have no way of verifying this information.

It does deviate a bit. It combines Hide and Move Silently into a skill called Sneak.

Creating a new skill would take care of that.
By 'deviation', I mean something like a "new" spell system - or perhaps a different combat system, where players uses 3d10 for attack (for example!)
Or perhaps "spell points" instead of spell levels... that wouldn't work in TOS+

I think I have this book in pdf. I'll have a look and see if it's compatible to TOS+.

I've skimmed through MONTE COOK’S ARCANA EVOLVED Variant Player's Handbook, and I'd say yes, that this material and TOS+ are compatible with some work. The only hitch I see is that there are spells at the 10th level slot, but I've not seen any casting classes that go above 8th, I might have missed something in my skim through. Everything I see though in tables, I see as doable in TOS+.
