[BATTLETECH] Introductory Box Set TOKENS, usable with Maptool

Post by admin »

Being a fan of Battletech, I decided to try to get my kid interested in the game by purchasing the 25th anniversary Introductory Box Set.
It comes with 24 plastic miniatures ready to use for play. I was wondering what I could use to 'note' the starting position on each turn, as this is rather important for distance traveled purposes. I was thinking of using coins and such small object, when I noticed that the BattleMech Record sheet that you can download freely from bg.battletech.com has, on the last page, the BattleMech counters for the BattleMech included in the box. So I set out to make these counters as Tokens, usable both for print or in MapTools!!

There are 2 files here: The image you see (which can be printed as a 6" by 9" image, to get proper size for the Battletech Maps) and the Zip file with all 24 tokens, ready to use in Maptools.

If you find any of these useful, let me know!
It would be cool to see if this is usable by others...

I loved battletech back in the day...hands down one of the top 3 best tactical games.

I wouldn't mind playing it again, however finding players is tough....And, I have no idea where the mech design program I wrote in the early 90's is downloadable from :)

(Hands down one of the top 3 best mech design programs!!! hehe)

I don't know anything about the game, but doing a bit of online research I found this link to a computer version of the game. Not sure how close to the real thing this is, but thought it might interest some of you. http://megamek.info/
