Hallow's Last Hope: Day 3; The Crucible Monastery

In the small town of Falcon's Hollow life is hard enough struggling under the oppressive thumb of the Lumber Consortium; a corrupt logging company muscling out any chance of competition and opposition. Even as a sickness strikes and begins to spread, the Consortium does nothing to help. When an herbalist learns the source and nature of the sickness, it takes a small group of trouble makers to find the cure.

Locutus having spent many nights by a campfire has heard stories of strange creatures that lurk in the rooftops and drop onto unsuspecting passersby. THINKING: Perhaps the owner of this shoe has fallen victim to this creature. Locutus will cast Guidance on him self and ready his dagger for an attack.

I guess I should have given you this when you posted.

Collin reachs the open door and though the area is darkened somehow, he can still see. He sees before him Delastian and some octopus-like thing that is flying in the air above him.

Collin reaches a point that allows him to see this thing, something like an octopus, flying above Delastian. Being quick on his feet, and able to see in this darkness, Collin moves in close to Delastian, letting everyone know about where the threat is. Collin draws his weapon, but misses as the creature beats it's membrane against the in time to lift it above his blade.

Just when you all think its over, Del grunts as he is yet attacked again.Though Del takes the force of the slam from this thing falling on him, he manages to shake loose as it tries getting a firm hold of him. The creature raises up, just out of reach of everyone. Ox sees it just out of reach at I9. (Del -6hp)

With the second creature right next to Collin, he will unleash a flurry of blows down upon the pitiful thing. Again yelling out its location so the others may know where to focus.

Someone did not read my posts completely it seems. As I said in my post, and I repeat now, the creature you're fighting is just out of reach of everyone. Should I assume that Collin will delay for it to come within his reach?

With everyone doing as they are doing, D2 attempts to attack Del again, but before it can do so, it comes close enough for Collin to reach. He pummels the thing into tomorrow as his fists tear open the main body of the creature. With the creature dead, the darkness fades and before you are two octopus-like creatures.

With the threat gone, and no further attacks from above, and an all clear from Del, you begin to search the room. After a bit of searching, the only thing of note you find is on the alter. Five small depressions are found in it. They are oblong in shape and relatively small, about the size of a small stone. It's as if something were to be put in them.

In the hall, Locutus notices nothing new.

Collin works his way past Locutus, Ryiad, and Del and forcefully opens the door. With a loud crack, the door finally gives way and opens, shattering an ancient wooden chair propped against it on the other side. The room beyond is dark and smells deeply of dust and decay.

In the center of the small room is the mummified body of a dwarf in blacksmiths garbs. beside him is the shattered shards of a glass vial. In another hand is a parchment written in dwarven.
