LoF: The Carrion King; Day Four

The wishes unleashed over the ages by two genies have warped the Pale Mountain region to keep alive both a terrible beast and a heroic protector. These wishes have subtly warped the weave of the world to put a handful of adventurers on a trail to Kelmarane. It is these adventurers who will tread the path of fate at its most treacherous juncture, and it is they who will ultimately chart the course of history.

Erin stands up and starts wandering around the camp, observing and watching the camp life.
She excercises her climbing skills and soon she looks from a higher point down at the camp...

She thinks of her wayfinder and how it helped a little with the peyrton monster. She studys the wayfinder carefully. It's actually the first time she really looks at it.
She remembers her task from the society (that gave her the wayfinder) and writes a short report and sketches how she remembers the monster and maps of the locations that she has visited. She makes some additional notes about the monestary and the monsters found and even puts in some kind words about Almah and also about her party members.

Spoiler: show
Erin didn't speak of this but she would tell her companions this information if they ask what she is doing.

Even more pressing is the mystery of what brought about Kelmarane’s ruin in the first place—reports of which are vague at best. If you can determine the cause of the village’s abandonment so many years ago, you’re sure the Society would be impressed.
Erin also knows about ioun stones since this is knowledge that she has learned in her initiation of becoming a pathfinder society member. (sourcebook: "seeker of knowledge")

Kroft can also be found walking restlessly around camp. He can't quite settle his mind enough to sleep, so he pulls out his everburning torch and does some extra poking around on the upper level of the ruined monastary. He does avoid those areas where folk have made quarters, but there are several other areas into which he can wander without disturbing others. He quietly looks through piles of rubble and debris and inspects unsearched corners. He does not expect to find anything, but at least his hands are busy.

Between stops, his mind goes back to that woeful night his hometown died. He tries to recall any details of the great tragedy, but all he seems to remember is his father's wracking sobs turning into somber, blank-faced depression. Finding nothing new in that line of thinking, he tries to go further back. His mother is an even deeper mystery to him. All he knows is that she was likely some kind of adventurer, since she had a suit of fine leather armor -- the only item of hers he still owns. He wonders if she ever visited this once-holy place. Again, his memory is devoid of any details.

He continues wandering the ruins, passing beneath Erin's perch without seeming to notice her....

As Erin and Kroft wander about, they find themselves at some point passing Dashki's "quarters". Odd that he would choose such confined space, but passing soon reveals his reasons. You each see him busy at work scraping off the little bits of gold relief that still remains in the carvings on the walls. Far too much work for such little return, but it keeps him busy I suppose.
