Campaign Names

Many millennia ago, the Celestials built a great prison within the Planet of Golarion. The prison warded off those who would enter, and also walled in and magically trapped those who would escape. Within it the Celestials imprisoned hellish Undead, demonic beasts, and fiendish monstrosities. Now these beasts are breaking out with a serious chip on their shoulders. The gods believe you can stop them.................do you?

Campaign Names

Post by cave_lion » Thu Sep 24, 2009 2:07 pm

I am looking for suggestions to name the two Campaigns in a more imaginative way than Campaign "A" and "B."

Let's call this a contest. Submissions (posted here) will be accepted until the Campaigns are ready to open--at which time I will create a Poll to determine the winners by vote (one vote per TOS forum member).

Winners will receive a special magic item specific to their character for game play. If you are not part of these Campaigns, you can still post an idea--but will need to nominate who you wish to receive the prize (someone in the Campaigns.)

Current list of players

Well, since we are parts of adventuring groups, perhaps we should use names fitting for adventuring groups.

Dungeon Delvers
The Brotherhood
Griffons Company
Order of the Stick (my personal favorite)

Alpha, Beta. I'm in the Alpha group though because everyone knows, and admires, me as the Alpha Male.

If there were three groups, they would have to be The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.

How about:

Warriors of Labyrinthine Descent (WLD) (Group 1)
Adventurer's and Excavator's Group (AEG) (Group 2)

The play here is WLD is the campaign title, and AEG is the company that makes it. That's the extent of my knowledge of the dungeon :P.

Not too many responses to this..nobody else wants a chance at a free magic item?? I will be setting up the "not many choices poll" in a few days--so if anyone wants to put in their creative ideas and make this a little more intersting now is the time...

And what was wrong with the Alpha/Beta Groups? I see you have me already in the Alpha, which means even you recognize that fact. >:) Watch now I get bumped to Beta.

Team A - The Miscreants - anyone with a Pixie on their team has to be a bunch misfits.

Team B - Equilibrium - I mean come on, we have a Paladin and a Monk AND A Cleric - can not get more balanced than that.

Other names for Team B -

The Lucky Few - 3+ chose Desna as their Deity

The Destined - With this much prayer to the Goddess of Luck we must be destined for greatness ... ;)

The funny part is I just watched that movie the other day. The main character would make an awesome influence for a paladin.

The two parties are definitely VERY different--it is going to be great fun (for me as a GM) seeing how that molds the two Campaigns over time...

The other thing to think about is that sometimes the party names do not get created until party dynamics start to develop.

In one DnD pnp table top, it took us a month to see what name would work for us and we ended up with The Circle of Force.

In another, we were a group of Elves from Evermeet heading for Myth Drannor to either bring back Elven treasure and see if Myth Drannor could be reborn.

Our party name was Fey O' Cormanthor.
