CoT: Bastards of Erebus - Rescuing Arael

Equalis says to Olo “You seem to be a bit scratched up there, my friend. Let me have a look.” Assuming he is allowed, he casts Cure Light Wounds on him.

Cure Light Wounds on Olo. (1d8+2=4)
“Ahh, looking much better! Good as new, I'd say.”


Equalis then offers a short prayer to his deity thanking her for keeping everyone safe today.

Olo says “"Thank you. I am much better now. What do you supposed they will have us do next?"” And then slumps in a chair to rest from the excitement of the day.

Keider pulls out a pipe and lights it before saying “Whatever else they have for us to do I'm sure it will be interesting.”

Karadlon sits at the table with the others, “I look forward to it. The rescue wet far better than I had initially thought it would.”

Recap

You were all recruited by a woman, Janiven, because you each has a semblance of common desire, regardless the reason. In meeting with her, you've been sucked into a conspiracy that you do not know how to get out of, and are not sure that you really want out. You were forced to flee in to the sewers to meet up at a safe house. During this time, it's revealed that the person organizing this whole thing has been captured. A rescue is staged, with all involved masking their identities. The rescue is a success.

The man rescued is Arael, a cleric of Iomedae. Once released from the prison coach, he puts his hands to Janiven's shoulder's in gratitude. After retrieving his belongings, and Jan taking something from the commander and stabilizing him and an armiger, Jan takes a piece of paper from the commander.

Safely returned to the safe house, Arael thanks everyone, but excuses himself for needed rest. Jan retires to her room as well. There's moments of discussion and contemplation of what's to come next when Jan enters the room you are all at.

“I took a letter from the commander. After reading it just now, it seems there's a call for action to the Order of the Rack from The Mayor, Aberian Arvanxi, regarding a group of bandits called "Bastards of Erebus". I'll have to discuss this with Arael when he's back in action.

For now, we must lay low. If you're looking for something to do, so as not to get bored, there are some things I'm aware of that Arael and I intended on this group to handle, and take recognition for.”

The only unfortunate thing is, there's no real treasure to dole out other than the armor worn by the Order of the Rack, which is going to be incredibly difficult to sell. Fear not though. There's a simple solution to everything, and I'll make up this difference in the coming missions. New thread will start, today or tomorrow.

No worries I understood it all. I've got a PbP that I'm running on my home groups forum as well as two adventure paths at the table amongst 9-10 hours mon-fri at work amongts other things. And sometimes I get the feeling some of the work I spend on my adventures isn't taken in as well so...sincerely, I am sorry, man.
