As a hooman-looking figure nears Kal Hiss, Kinster let loose his arrows, hitting once.

Kinster lets fly two arrows, hitting twice the dog who's getting angry.

Then the elves and their dogs attack.
Dog 7 on Kal Hiss (1d20+4=19, 1d6+2=4)
Dog 8 on Rik (1d20+4=22, 1d6+2=7)
H5 on Rik (flanking) (1d20+7=17, 1d8+1=9)
Both dogs hit true. Dog 8 gets acid in his jaw (2 points) for his trouble.

Then arrows continue to fall near the kobolds
Arrow on Eel (1d20+6=26, 1d6=4) Arrow on Eel (confirm threath) (1d20+6=8, 1d6=1)1-20 miss chance from enthropic shield (1d100=85)
Arrow on Rik (1d20+2=12, 1d6=3)

By a stroke of luck, one arrow lodges itself in the shoulder of Eel.

The spiritual weapon attacks D8 again (1d20+6=9, 1d8+2=10), with little success. Eel steps to J6 and says in Draconic, C'mere Rik, if you wants some more healsies... She will ready an action to cast Lesser Vigor on Rik if he comes within reach. The ready action, if triggered, will include Divine Spell Power (1d20+4=19), which would extend the duration of the vigor to 15 rounds.

At the beginning of a character’s turn, he may spend 1 action point as a free action to gain the benefit of a feat he doesn’t have. He must meet the prerequisites of the feat. He gains the benefit until the beginning of his next turn.

 

For a moment, Kal Hiss knows how to attack D7 even if it is is combat without hurting Dogeee! (if D7 falls, he switches target to D8)

Why are you guys not taking any actions points? You know you can do a lot of nice things with action points... Not only add to a d20!! You can emulate a feat for one round (if you meet the prerequisites) many neat things! As a reminder:

Special Actions
* Activate Class Ability (One more time of that cool ability you have)
* Boost Defense (need extra Armor Class?)
* Emulate Feat (Want to get rid of the Fire Into melee penalty?)
* Extra attack (how about trying doing more damage?
* Spell Boost
* Spell Recall (Vi, more CURING! :P lol )
* Stable (hope it don't come to that :P
Remember that these are "USE IT IOR LOOSE IT" as when we level, we loose any non-spend APs left... PLEASE USE THEM!

I always forget which games are using action points and which aren't!

If possible, Eel will add an action point to the spiritual weapon's attack: Action Point (1d6=1). This proves not to be very useful...

Kal Hiss's and Kinster's arrows hit twice.
Rikticktik spread some acids.
Both dogs fall lifeless.

You hear some horn sounding and the elves retreat. All but one who's caught in the entangle.
You also hear the sound of villagers coming this way. You have maybe 5 rounds before they are upon you.

What do you do?

We don't need baby ... Chef wants baby. Now hoomans know of us and will defend their town properly. No more goings to town for us! Kal Hiss says.
Yes spoils! he says, starting to loot downed elves (if any!?!?) for a couple of rounds maximum, then he flees with Dogeee (boots of speed = OFF)

Eel uses the remaining rounds of the Spiritual Hammer to pummel the elf in the entangle: 3 rounds of Spiritual Weapon (1d20+6=21, 1d8+2=9, 1d20+6=13, 1d8+2=9, 1d20+6=19, 1d8+2=4)

As the party begins to flee: Cowardly... mutters Eel. However, she follows them as they run away. She says to them, Maybe best to run away now, when we know hooomanz is coming. But hooomanz never saw us and lived to tell, only elveses. Hooomanz not be ready for us later, if we sneaky enough. You just being para... paranoi... scardy cat, Kal Hiss! So we sneak back to town later and do what chief says!

THINKING: hmm she not see that this was a trap?

Are you saying the Elves were just a random occurrence, so near the Hooman town, at the right place and time to intercept us? he asks, wondering if Eel had a death wish...
THINKING: Or perhaps she was threatened by Chef if she did not deliver? Does she not realize that the Hoomans and the Elves were working together?

Epilogue:

You spend an hour arguing whether you should try one more time to kidnap a baby when you hear footsteps approaching. Lots of them. You decide that it isn't worth it.

Two hours later, you arrive home. You go back in, to take as much of your stuff as possible and stay away from the kitchen.
You all meet half an hour later at the cave entrance and set out in the wild... forced to live the life of adventurers, never to return home.

King Krush is not happy and takes his vengeance on the chef, who serves as the main course for the feast.

The humans are mounting an assault on the kobold home to stop these incessant raids. They are looking for an intrepid band of adventurers to help them get rid of the kobold problem.

But those problems are no longer your concern. You have become adventurers. Your concern are now fame and fortune.
