Aja will move towards the fishe the shark is going after trying to gang up on it. He will then delay til next round to not give the fishe and AoO.

Not wanting to dash out into the water to be cat food, Aladar delays until after Penno...

Milton also waits...

Aja moves towards the fishie the shark is going after. He gets all the way there [The Sea Cats don't have reach, so there was no chance of an AoO. I assumed you'd want to double move to get into the action. Let me know if you wanted to be somewhere else].

The Shark tries to bite Sea Cat 1, but fails.

Fisma moves to a better viewpoint, but otherwise decides to conserve his spells.

Grinning with joy, Penno moves into the water.

[ooc]With two players delaying, I figured we needed a quick intermediate validation... Aladar and Milton are up.

After pointing to the link for UnderwaterCombat last time around, I think I completely forgot to enforce the -2 attack/half damage that applies to some of you. I'll do it this time, so this combat might end up being more challenging.

Round 1 Continues

Aladar dives in past Penno and lies in wait for the approach of the Sea Cat.

Milton enters the water and swims toward Aja and the shark [because you're underwater, not enough movement to get past the Sea Cat this round, but also no tumble needed yet].

Sea Cat 1 lays into the shark with both claws and rends open a terrible wound [33 hp damage total for two claws plus rend]. It follows up by biting croc-shaped-Aja [9 hp damage].

Sea Cat 2 swims up to Penno and claws him [8 hp damage]

[ooc]After pointing to the link for UnderwaterCombat last time around, I think I completely forgot to enforce the -2 attack/half damage that applies to some of you. I'll do it this time, so this combat might end up being more challenging.

Milton will continue with his intended action, and if able, attack by splitting his swordbow into two rapiers. For movement he should get at least the ten foot skirmish, but would go for maximum twenty foot skirmish if able.

10 foot skirmish is +2d6 and 20 foot skirmish is +4d6

Round 2

Aja bites the sea cat in front of him [5 hp damage], latches on and grabs hold [grapple succeeds].

Aja's shark bites the sea cat [12 hp damage]

Fisma repositions himself on the upper level and casts Haste [everyone is +1 attack, +1 reflex, +1 AC, +30 feet speed or double speed (whichever is less), and gets an extra attack when making a full attack].

Penno gleefully hacks and slashes the "swimmy kitty" in front of him. Even underwater, his greatsword does significant damage, thanks to its size alone [18 hp damage total]

Aladar disappears from sight, then reappears on the other side of the creature. He slashes it with his kama, doing limited damage because of the weapon's inefficiency in the water [4 hp damage after halving; note that your kama should only be doing 1d4, not 1d4+1, because of the STR damage, although that doesn't actually make a difference in this case because of the rounding].

Since it is engaged with Aja, Milton slips right past the sea cat, splitting his swordbow into two rapiers as he goes. With the speed bonus from Fisma's spell, he is able to maneuver beyond the creature and return with great momentum [20 foot skirmish is now possible]. He then stabs the creature from behind [13 hp damage].

Sea Cat 1 thrashes about and breaks free from Aja's grapple.

Sea Cat 2 sticks both claws into Penno and rips his guts out [28 hp damage total, including rend]. Penno is dead [-18 hp].

Round 3

Croc-Aja tail slaps the fish twice, doing some significant damage [14 hp total].

The summoned shark tries to bite the fish twice, too, but fails.

Fisma waits to see if anyone else dies.

Aladar, seeing Penno get shredded, knows he doesn't stand much of a chance in his state. So again he uses his ghost step to vanish and wait for the creature to find a new target.

Having no one to prevent him from maneuvering, Milton makes another skirmish attack and utterly annihilates the Sea Cat [23 hp total].

With Aladar nowhere to be seen, the remaining Sea Cat swims up behind the shark and snaps it in half with its claws [6 hp damage].

Milton takes the fight head on advancing to face the seacat directly. He maneuvers into position and strikes at the cat. He manages to hit, but does not do quite enough damage to finish the beast.

Fisma wonders why he didn't prepare any damaging spells at all.

The Sea Cat chooses a victim at random and decides on Aladar, who he's happy to see again. It sinks in with both claws and rips the gnome to shreds [24 hp damage puts Aladar at -11; Aladar joins Penno in the afterlife]

[ooc]It is becoming very obvious that starting this combat without any healing first was a very bad idea.

The Sea Cat again chooses a victim at random. It gets Aja with both claws and, after rending, sends him to the afterlife to join Penno and Aladar [29 hp total, puts Aja at -15]. MIch looks sad, then wanders away in search of food.

After pointing to the link for UnderwaterCombat last time around, I think I completely forgot to enforce the -2 attack/half damage that applies to some of you. I'll do it this time, so this combat might end up being more challenging.

Milton will tuck-n-roll to avoid an opportunity attack as he maneuvers for a 20 foot skirmish, using the space behind him.
