Special Items designated price by $

I would like to know how I can get the price to be included in a players total on the Player's Loot sheet for items like Gems that have a "$" to designate the price. So if Player1 is carrying around a Brass Sextant$400 I would like sheet Player's Loot Value to show 400 and it be added to his total. Reason is our group uses this to figure out who should get the next item based on who has the least items. Also, the DM uses it to gauge WBL for the players.
