Ground Floor of the Abbey

You and your newfound companions have been contracted to investigate Slip Gallows Abbey, the past headquarters of the late (and unlamented) Gray Deacons. Over forty years ago, all of the Gray Deacons were claimed by an unknown curse and their headquarters sealed by the same magic. Your employer has learned of a way inside and has hired your group of adventurers to slip inside and claim the treasure of the Gray Deacons

Thoros casts a spell to dispel magical effects on the gem. The item is too powerful, however, to be affected.

After 25 rounds Striker still has 2.8 min on Gravity Bow. Is Blessing of Fervor still in affect? He would use option 4...

Striker sends two arrows at the gem, striking it and sending it flying across the room to clatter and roll across the floor like fate itself determining what will befall the heroes. The gem is marred but not shattered.

This is taking to much time... Thoros cast Protection from Evil (+2 AC, Savec), Resistance (+1 saves) and Divine Favor (+3 att & Dmg) on himself and with is morningstar go toward the gem and smash it until destroyed

So 3 rounds after...Thoros start smashing the gem

Mugtork had been unaffected by the malign magics of the gem. Impatient, Thoros protects himself with some defensive magics before striding over to the gem and smashing it.

Once the gem is shattered, the dim shadows that had seemed to be accumulating in the room disappear. The light gets brighter outside the windows, too. Whatever magics had plagued the abbey appear to be dismissed. The shadows that had been gathering in the chairs are no more, disappearing with the clatter of suddenly solid items landing on the floor.

The party is left with the items that they had found before plus six other sets. Of course, they had been commissioned to recover a particular item from the abbey.

Assuming one of the rings from the first bit of this fight matches that description, Cleart will pull it out for further inspections. Otherwise, he will help pack away the rest of the items.

The ring taken from the leader of the rogues matches the description provided. Even with the aid of magics, Thoros is only able to identify the buckler and the second rapier.

Now that they have attained the object of their mission, the party can return.

The party looks for a place to safely rest for the evening. An inner room seems safer, so that is where they arrange themselves. The party uses the same guard rotation as the night before.

No disturbances occur during the night and everyone wakes rested and recovered. They can now decide where to continue exploration.

Cleart will meditate a bit after causing his clothes to clean themselves. He will then cast Detect Magic and have another go at identifying unknown items, though he will assume the duplicate shadow rogues each had the same items to save time. Just before the party heads out, he will case Mage Armor on himself.

Cleart is able to identify the mithral shirt but the rapier and the ring continue to defy his efforts. He does, moreover, determine that each of the rogues was armed and armored with the same equipment.

He places a hand on the mithral shirt and says [talk]I'd like this if we're going to be splitting spoils.
