No, of course not

Brad holds his up (with his right hand), puts on a big smile, and gestures to it with his left hand. as if to say, "Here it is! Take our Picture!" :D

OUT OF CHARACTER
For expediency, I'll assume shine lights down each hallway, but don't proceed down any of them yet...

Following Brad's plan, Brad and Linda leapfrog each other, while Sahid snaps pictures of the relevant lanterns (and maybe lack of lanterns, as you'll see in a moment) from the alcove entrances. You see the following, going counter-clockwise from where Linda started:

1. A violet lantern hanging from a chain, unlit.
2. An empty chain with no lantern hanging from it.
3. A blue lantern hanging from a chain, unlit. What appears to be a skeleton of some sort lies in a heap beneath the blue lantern.
4. A green lantern hanging from a chain, lit and shining light throughout the room.
5. A yellow lantern hanging from a chain, unlit.
6. An orange lantern hanging from a chain, unlit.
7. An empty chain with no lantern hanging from it.

Hmmm, Linda muses following the visual check of the corridors. We seem to be missing the red lantern, which may be in the sarcophagus, or sitting on somebody's shelf in town, or in a museum anywhere in the world. Then tehre's the matter of that poor goober down at the end of the violet lantern corridor, and maybe whoever's in this fancy coffin.

On a sudden impulse, she fishes her Sorian counter out of her Prada handbag and uses it on the sarcophagus and the catafalque on which it stands.

Ping! The Sorian counter spikes right up to 10 when pointed at the sarcophagus! Further careful readings reveal two magical auras around the sarcophagus above the background level.

The first one, that's causing the reading of 10, is actually centered on the arrow-shaped base that the sarcophagus rests on.

The other one reads just 1 and covers the outer edges of the sarcophagus itself.

Well, isnt that something. Ya know what else is interesting? I dont think these lanterns are in the same order as in the fresco upstairs. I wonder how that unfortunate fellow got down here, and what happened to him. Sahid, you get a few shots of that skeleton?

OUT OF CHARACTER
Ooops, the lanterns should be in the same order as the frescoes upstairs. Turns out I screwed up the map upstairs and switched indigo and violet. The map down here is right; just assume the order matches the frescoes, with the exception of the two missing lanterns.

Well, lets take a closer look. Want to come down the hall with me so I can get some good pictures of it. Perhaps Dr. Alexander might be able to figure out with some photos.

Brad Nods, and slowly escorts Sahid down the hall, keeping an eye open for trip lines or loose stones.

Search Check (1d20+2=17) - though not sure if Brad can search for traps or not.

Dispensing with the darkness overlay for the time being, because it's not really hiding anything you aren't already aware of...

Brad and Sahid move down to where the blue lantern hangs, while Linda remains on guard near the sarcophagus.

The skeleton that rests in a heap just below the lantern appears to have been human. Brad and Sahid both happen to glance up when they near the skelton and spot something interesting: the ceiling in this alcove is higher than the main part of the room. The light reflected from Brad's indigo lantern is enough to show that the ceiling is 50 feet high here. And 40 feet up on the far wall, there's a passage leading to the northeast...

Brad's search also notes a 5-foot-diameter circle carved into the floor, directly below the hanging lantern.

Well, thats unexpected. Brad says looking at the high passageway. Linda, can you bring your Sorian tester over here, see if there is anything amiss with this circle in the ground?

Without yet crossing the cricle, Brad takes a good look at the skeleton, does it have any clothes left? Or stuff to indicate why its here? THINKING: I wonder if he's an explorer, or just an unlucky hiker that fell down a hole.

Linda sashays over to 2406 and uses the Sorian counter to examine the circle, the body, the hanging lamp, and the walls at the end of the corridor. Scaling sheer walls really isn't in my skill suite, guys, she remarks pointedly.
OUT OF CHARACTER
Is the skeleton inside or out of the circle? And is it clothed/equipped, or just bones?

The Sorian counter doesn't ping on anything down this passage. The skeleton is part in, part out of the circle, closer to the back wall of the alcove. There's no sign of any clothes or equipment around the skeleton; just bones.
OUT OF CHARACTER
Since it's probably not clear from my lame descriptions or the map, a rather obvious way to reach the passage above would be to climb the lantern chain. Probably easier than the wall, which is smooth.

Huh, Linda observes thoughtfully, as far as I can tell this guy could have been lying here since before Columbus sailed for the Indies and found a whole different continent instead. Maybe our doctor can give a more educated opinion of our friend's provenance.

Glancing up at the opening above, she adds, We should check the ends of the other short corridors as well, see if any of them have extensions as well.

In the absence of other actions, I'll assume you go with Linda's suggestion of checking the other alcoves. Each of them has a similar 5-foot diameter circle carved into the floor, below the respective lantern or empty chain. There are, however, no other skeletons, passages out, or other interesting things. The ceilings of the other alcoves are only 30 feet high.

I'm going to check out that passage way in the Skeleton's corner.

Brad walks that way, and if there are no objections, reaches up and tests the strength of the Lantern chain.

He sets down most of his stuff, holsters his gun, and tries to climb up the chain. At the top, he'll use his flashlight to look into the passageway

Brad finds climbing the chain easy and swings himself over to the ledge. Still using the indigo lantern for light, he finds that the passage extends into the shadows to the northeast. The only thing of note here (Brad made a very good spot check) is several long scratch marks in the floor, as if something had been dragged out of the darkness toward the lip where the passage drops back to the floor below.

After Brad reports what he found in the "elevated" passage, Linda observes, Well, looks like we either go see what's down that tunnel, or call it a day and leave, unless somebody wants to play with the body in the sarcophagus. I'm not the best climber in the world, but I'm willing to give it a try.
