OUT-OF-CHARACTER:    All things considered, while I'd prefer option C, it would require bookkeeping to keep everything straight, which might not work out as well for a PbP game as its does in face-to-face play. So I'll vote for option A just to keep things simple.

Which means Cyrius will have to settle for a MW chain shirt. (I assume he can sell his current armor for half price?)

OUT-OF-CHARACTER:    I just thought of a fourth way that may be good for all. Everyone gets 10% (152 gp), then those that did not take look split the rest (457 gp each). This would mean the non-loot takers would still get more gold, but the loot takers would have money for food/shelter... And even being the geeky person I am, I am attaching a spreadsheet you can use to split the treasure, but I did not build in for decimals. Use it if you like the idea, or don't use it, it is fine with me. This is just another idea.

But kabkal's proposal seems like a compromise between A and B, which seem to be the leading candidates. For those of you who don't want to bother looking at kabkal's spreadsheet, his proposal is: Marcus and Lola each get 152 gp, 6 sp, and 2 cp Cyrius and Tex each get 610 gp, 4 sp, and 8 cp Is everyone okay with that or do we need to discuss further?

OUT-OF-CHARACTER:    I'm willing to go with the kabkal solution, but here's the spreadsheet I made for the face-to-face campaign I'm in. The bold-face amounts are those that aren't halved for sale value (coinage, jewelry, etc). If someone wants an item, put their name(s) in the green field and the number desired in the column with their initial. As you can see, the per-person share comes to 1407.8 GP each, but with Lola and Marcus taking more than that they get no coin, and Cyrius and Tex have their shares reduced (manual correction). The debts owed by one member to others this way are recorded on the Party Treasure sheet. It does ensure that, in the long run, things even out.

OUT-OF-CHARACTER:    I would still prefer B (or C if some one wanted to do the bookkeeping). Food/Shelter isnt an issue since those with gold will jsut cover those without, so whether or not someone has cash money doesnt really matter at all, so long as some do. Either way, they're all going to be well under what we would be with fresh 3rd level toons, which would be about 3k (pg 399 PFRPG). Tex is sitting at 300 right now. 10%. And even with the ~700 gp, he'd still be at only 30%. So if the encounters are geared for a lvl 3 party, ours will be well under powered. This is just me, I'll go along with the majority.

OUT-OF-CHARACTER:    Here's the thing. Fighter's never have use for wands. Wizards have no use for armor or swords. Neither are trained well in the use of their opposite. There should be no debt incurred for taking an item that no one else can use or wants, as long as that item is usable to that character. I'm not fond of either sheet, but if Marcus would be incurring a debt for items that would benefit the party, then he's sure to lean on the cost of his skills and talents that aid the party. With CGM3, Lola and Marcus incur a debt that is sure to only go up until Tex and Cyrius take items, but then what, the debts of others could still give all the gold to those without debt even if they take items. I've played both ways, just take what is useful to you and split the gold, just take what you want and go in debt as if buying that item from the party, and both work. Unfortunately though, the one that accrues debt tends to get uneven by my experience. I've made my vote, I have not much more to say. I'm not liking Kabkal's sheet much either. Sorry.

Descriptive information for the masterwork quarterstaff: This staff of petrified wood tapers from the diameter of a finger at its tip, to about two inches across at its base. It has six evenly spaced grooves encircling the shaft, suggesting seven segments.
