Re: TOS+ Tutorials; Videos on using TOS+

I've uploaded the first two parts of a three part tutorial for starting with TOS+ and making your first character with it. Once this is done, and finalized by uploading to the TOS web site, I'll begin work on a quick tutorial in making special items. After that, I'll work on a more involved tutorial in making a class and what TOS+ is doing as you enter things.

Feedback is welcome from anyone.

Okay, I've uploaded the first 4 part beginners tutorial in D&D3.5 mode using TOS+ v3.203.

Part 1 is 03:15 in length.
Part 2 is 07:45 in length.
Part 3 is 11:31 in length.
Part 4 is 09:28 in length.

Each previous part links to the next ending at the forth. Total time length is almost 32 minutes.

Please let me know if there are any flickers or problems.

See my first post. Pending admin's approval, these will soon be on his server and updated accordingly.

Next project will be a tutorial on making special items.

Re: TOS+ Tutorials; Video on using TOS+; Script writers need

Tutorial Video Scripting Help Needed!!!

Making these videos is hard enough. Writing scripts to follow for them is even harder. I'm looking for volunteers willing to write scripts for the following topics.
  • Advanced Item Creation
    • Making a simple or complicated custom item, using both the quickfill and unique name field of the GearData/ItemData Sheets implementing forumlas. This is to give people new to TOS+ an idea of how to start making an item, and hopefully complete the item on his/her own.
  • Class Creation (Beginner and Advanced User Version)
    • Step-by-step instruction to making a custom class.
  • Race Creation (Beginner and Advanced User Version)
    • Step-by-step instructions to making a custom race.
  • Template Creation (Beginner and Advanced User Version)
    • Step-by-step instructions to making a custom template.
  • Applying Templates
    • How to apply templates to a race and to a character
  • A sheet-by-sheet breakdown
    • Detailed explanation of what each sheet is and does.
  • Anything else that a user of TOS+, new and experienced, may benefit from.
All Scripts MUST have the following criteria met:
  • File Name must start with TutVid- for my ease of finding in a folder.
  • TOS+ version and Rule Set applied when writing the script.
  • The script must be detailed. As line-by-line, cell-by-cell, step-by-step- as possible by the writer.
  • Submitted as a text file.
If you can write it, I'll produce it. I will review each submission, and edit as needed for production. Thank you for your assistance. I will also make sure that credit is given to contributors.

I found this site which can be useful to anyone wanting to create a Video Tutorial for the Sheet - I am always hoping more people would be interested in sharing their TOS+ experiences in this fashion... :) (and I will put up shared video directly in the Video section of the Home Page!)
