OUT OF CHARACTER
I figured I would remind some people at this point about abilities they have. For those of you with the Touch of Khyber feat (Yahjhank and Shard), you have each used it to grant yourself the fiendish template, however it offers an additional benefit: granting a spellsoaked steel weapon a brief +1 enhancement bonus. For Yahjhank, that is his sharrash, and for Shard, that is his spiked chain.)

If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving is not for you.

Tracker grumbles.
"Still cannot hurt these creatures, grrr...........".

Tracker motions for Wolf to follow him, and they cautiously walk in to the room around combat without engaging in it. We head off to the south, to cover our position should anything else appear.

Yahjhank will use his ability, and take on fiendish form to get the Spellsoaked Steel Weapon +1 enhancement on his sharrash, as he snuff the living spells light out.

Shard has been using the Scimitar so has not yet needed to use ability. Although after this battle, I was planning on doing something to help the group out, so he will be using it more.

It is an either or deal. You either take on fiendish form or you grant your spellsoaked steel weapon +1 enhancement.

I want to suggest something. klakxor, give Nargath the scimitar as he has proficiently for it and use the Touch of Khyber on his spiked chain for the +1 bonus. At least this way, only I and the wolf will be useless ones in this battle. I even will point this out in character.

That's the plan, but I forgot to do it before the battle started and I don't think it is safe to be tossing around weapons during a battle

Between Yhajhank and Shard, the creature is eventually defeated, although it knocked out everyone at least once, which was rather annoying. But after several rounds (and a lot of blindness), you are all up. In total, everyone took 3 hp damage (just to round things out, as I don't want to continue as this combat will be rather fruitless).

The next room contains a large iron font filled with molten metal and a large glass structure protruding from it. After examining the area for a bit, you realize that you are experiencing an illusion. Looking around the room, you find that the only real component is a red keycharm, much like the one you used to get to your current position.

In front of the iron font of molten metal, you see a glass chest containing a diamond-shaped metal item that looks important, along with two vials which Kaito is able to identify as a symbol referring to Protection from Fire. Unfortunately, none of that is actually here. Back in the mirror room, all that is left is the oozy remains of the living Color Spray that you defeated.

At the completion of the battle, Shard hands the Scimitar to Tracker. "I have been unsuccessful in the use of this weapon, although it seems that the feelings that I get from it tend to like you."

With no real clue as to the meaning of the illusion, Shard agrees with Kaito "At least we will be able to delve deeper into this complex with this Red Keycharm"

Tracker gives it a few practise swings, getting the balance right.

Klakxor, have you got any stats for me for the magical weapon? Shai, does anything weird happen when I wield the double-scimitar?

Satisfied with its handling, Tracker turns back to the party.

With the group finished in the illusory room, you make your way back through the mirror room, then back through the corridor to the rotator room. The mirror room was accessed by the first red keycharm you have seen, and it is the other rotator room that has both an orange and a red slot available for keycharms. Heading back that way, Rorsa stops the party and says, "My pups found this human carrying device under one of the beds. It must have slid under there during the battle with those adventurers who decided to try to kill my pups. Perhaps it will be of use to you." (OOC - This is the result of the DM missing a reference in his notes and trying to rectify it :P)

Whoever examines the bag is in for a surprise. The bag has three pockets. Opening the center pocket, you discover 80 arrows, 80 bolts, 50 feet of silk rope, four bedrolls, four empty waterskins, and some food (it is difficult to estimate how much food, as the party does not need to eat). The right pocket contains an everbright lantern, flint and steel, a kit with the words "Bandages" written on it (a healer's kit), two torches, and three sacks. Finally, the left pocket contains 3 vials, 3 flasks, a pouch containing 33pp, a casket containing 430gp, and a letter that reads as follows:
Letter from Left Pocket wrote:My friends,

The object you recovered for me from the ruins beneath Sharn is a schema, a piece of a pattern used to create items both mundane and magical. Unfortunately it has been stolen by an advisor to the Brelish crown. I am uncertain what he intends to do about it, but I have been ordered not to become involved. This is a matter for the King's elite forces, the Dark Lanterns.

Anyway, I have discovered that another schema connected to this pattern was being studied in a secret Cannith workshop in Cyre, called Whitehearth. I wonder if this research is tied to the Day of Mourning?

Parts of my own house seek this pattern for evil purposes, and I do not know whom to trust. So, I turn to you. I need you to travel to Cyre, find the workshop, and recover the second schema.

The location of the workshop was a closely guarded secret lost when the patriarch of House Cannith died in the destruction of Cyre. You must travel to the House Cannith outpost in the town of Rose Quarry, in Darguun, to recover a record of all of Cannith's hidden workshops.

In Rhukaan Draal, find a man named Failin in the Bloody Market. He can provide you with transport to Rose Quarry. From there, travel into the Mournland to find Whitehearth and the second schema. It is an adamantine plate in the shape of a diamond, about the size of a human's palm. Once you have retrieved it, return to Rhukaan Draal, where I will meet you. Succeed, and I will see to it that you are well rewarded for your courage.

"Thank you Rorsa. I am not sure what all of this is, but the carrying device and the sacks that it contains will be very useful to us on our mission for the Becoming God."

After reading the note, "A lot of these names and places mean nothing to me. I do however understand the idea that they were looking for a diamond shaped adamantine plate in this place. I believe that would make a very fitting contribution to our god. Let us find it."

"I remember seeing that diamond-shaped plate in the glass chest. We need to somehow to make the illusion into a reality. In the meantime, let me examine those vials and flasks."

Kaito begins to examine the vials and flasks found in the bag.

The vials possess a symbol that Kaito recognizes as relating to the human religion known as the Sovereign Host. The flasks appear to be magical potions of healing for humans.

Tracker will pocket the arrows, seeing as he has the bow :)
He looks at the bag, and if he had facial expressions, he would be looking puzzled.

"That seemed to be a lot of gear for the size of the container. Can we analyse it as well?"
"Where have we not looked in this complex? We have to have missed something around here."

OUT OF CHARACTER
I hate to say it, but I have completely lost my bearings, as to whereabouts we are in this complex :? I'm going to have to go back through our archives and track our movements.

The sack is in fact a handy haversack.

So, of the two remaining keycharms to try, do you want to try Red or Orange?

When you arrive in the rotator room, you push the red keycharm into the slot and you hear a click, but nothing more happens.

Using the orange keycharm, the Rotator room floor jumps a little, as if a trap were about to be triggered, but appears to have been disabled by some locking mechanism. Then, the room rotates to a corridor leading to a pair of adamantine doors bearing the seal of House Cannith. Waves of heat pour off the doors and ripple through the corridor.

"Hmm, perhaps the red keycharm was in fact meant as way to disable whatever that noise was. Perhaps that is something you could look at Kaito. However not know. These doors bear the markings of the creation house of the flesh people and I would be much more interested in what lies beyond it."

Is the heat overpowering and does Shard think it may be damaging to continue in to check the door?

This was a human facility. It would make sense that if humans could handle it, warforged should be able, as well.
