Items received

Post by shai-hulud » Mon Apr 21, 2008 10:26 pm

If you have items from this adventure, please list them here, then decide on who is carrying what. If it is not listed either here or on my copy of your character, it doesn't exist anymore. So someone should go back and check through everything that has been given out so far.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving is not for you.

I haven't been taking anything since there was so much there (or wasn't of use for Warforged). I just have what I started out with. I think there was an artisan kit in the pile but I'm not sure. I need that so I won't have a -2 penalty on my Craft checks to repair the party.

I'll personally say that we take any magical items, vials, things that would be desirable to sell, money, and key items and put them in the Handy Haversack. I'll take one set of artisan tools so I can repair the party easier. I'll use detect magic to point out all the magical items that we have.

If you are planning to take something, post here. I want updated characters from everyone. If you are planning on leveling up now, please do that, as well. XP distribution:

Kaito: 2130
Shard: 2230 (bonus 100 XP for the help in locating all items for the party)
Tracker: 2130
Yahjhank: 2130

What's in the small locked chest? Kaito could open the lock with ease.

Everyone gets 830 cp, 107 sp, 178 gp, and 19 pp.

Ok, I'm going to list the items that we should keep.

Double scimitar - magic (Nargath)
1 stick with strange symbols on it - magic
A cloak with strange symbols on it - magic
4 vials of unknown liquids
A suit of half-plate armor
An expensive-looking metal object
Map over nine sheets of paper showing locations in Central Khorvaire
Signet Ring
four vials of unknown liquid
seven flasks of unknown liquid
Two of the potions are a mottled blue with white bubbles
3 whetstones
interesting cloak
two vials of a dark oil that shimmers if shaken - magic
pearl necklace (Nargath should have this)
Lantern - Magical
Ring bearing ornate symbols
dark metal disk with strange engravings - magical
a ring bearing the same mark as the other two rings already discovered
a small brooch with a red stone depicting a crescent moon
50 feet of silk rope
3 vials - symbol of sovereign host
3 flasks - magical healing potions
two copies of the diamond-shaped schema
2 potions of resist energy
2 vials of unknown liquid
a document with strange writing on it
a large disk formed of adamantine and covered with mithral-laced runes and symbols. It contains sockets for four schemas, like the ones found in the chest. It is 3 inches thick, 2 feet across, and weighs 10 pounds. It has slots for the diamond-shaped schema you just found, a moon-shaped schema, a star-shaped schema with seven points, and a circular schema.

I'll take a set of artisan tools. The rest of the stuff should put into the Handy Haversack. If anyone doesn't mind, I'll carry the Handy Haversack around.

Tracker will take the pearl necklace and put them on.
OUT OF CHARACTER
I had completely forgotten that Rorsa had mentioned anything about it!

I am okay with Kaito wearing the haversack. Shard would like to take the cloak if no one else has objections.

Well most of the items we don't know what their full function is. I say we wait until everything is identified before we further split up the items.

I suggest we take them back and have them examined and looked at since we barely can hold all of these.

If you have to make multiple trips, so be it. But for now, I want to know what you all are carrying on you. What are you holding? What is in backpacks? When Architect first sees you, what will he notice? This is for the first trip only that this is important.

Shard will be wearing the cloak. I say we take the Translucent chest with the items in it, the handy haversack with with whatever we can get in it (your choice what you want in the Haversack Pheonix512)

Shard would also take the nine page map, for Architect to review

Shai, what's in the small locked chest?

The items I previously listed will be in the Handy Haversack except for the map, the cloak, and the necklace. Any clothing or jewelery should be worn (maybe except for the half-plate).

Kaito is unable to detect the trap, so as he is opening the chest, his metal finger is "pricked" by a needle that juts out at him. The poison does nothing to dissuade him from continuing to open the box. Inside is 150pp.

Everyone gets 37 pp for it. Since the chest is useless now, I will throw it out. I think we are ready to go to the Architect now with the loot.

Carrying this abundance of wealth is going to be extremely difficult. Are you planning on leaving the majority of it behind and coming back for it? (That's 23 pounds of coin for everyone to be carrying). The strongest among you would likely be the best equipped, namely Yahjhank, as he has the strength to carry all of the gold, along with the sack that the half-orc was using before he was devoured by the wolves.

Don't forget to update your character with your new equipment, if you are carrying any. Assume that you have brought it all back with you, and anything that you are keeping is on your character.

Some of that stuff needs to be identified. Can the Architect identified the magic items for us or going have to find another source?

Within the community, you run on a barter system. If you want something like that accomplished, the means are present, but you must pay for it in goods or services. Money is not used among the assemblages, making the coinage you found fairly useless unless you plan to head to human lands (which is inevitable).
