Re: Beachfront Property
Laughing heartily, Malsvirirlym nods and takes a short run before going straight up, calling out, “Come soar with me my friend!”
The eagle, previously unnoticed among the trees alights, and calls out in reply in what strangely, sounds like a language.

If you haven't figured out who Prince Cavellon is yet ... well, "shame on you." (to quote our illustrious DM) |
Prince Cavellon quickens his pace to move up to Samuel's position. He nods and says loudly, “Yes, captain, have everyone keep their eyes open. I want no more surprises.”
He adds, in a low whisper, Sorry to jump in on your negotiations, but there are a helluva lot more elves back in the woods. Didn't want to risk having things turn violent.

THINKING: I think we were better off without the escort. Oh well.

FYI, freaking awesome. Hahaha. That was seriously the best part of playing pbp I have ever seen. |
Re: Beachfront Property
Sammuel remained completely expressionless, with the ruse he was trying to get them as far away from the elves and keep them too busy looking about for threats behind them to ask any questions.
He motioned the prince to go ahead and dropped back slightly to speak to the elf commander, in a hushed tone, "Even with your escort I don't like exposing the Prince like this and the larger group may pull us unwanted attention. Your men know the land better, can you double time and secure the area around the ship?"

The elves follow Sammuels commands and move off to secure the ship.
Before you know it, they are out of sight and things seem to have calmed down.

Re: Beachfront Property
Once they were gone Sammuel will ask Sam - "think you can keep them believing till we are under sail?" To everyone, "No slacking, last thing we want is the rest of them turning up!"

“So much for nobody knowing about us. Oh well, I guess it couldn't be helped. I just hope that they were on our side, otherwise they will be sure to go out of their way to catch themselves a Prince.”
Re: Beachfront Property
"Prince Cavellon" replies to Sammuel quietly, “I'm just hoping their army's nice and bureaucratic, so we reach the boat and get on our way before they figure out something's not quite right.”
Re: Beachfront Property
Anrdraes lets out what would appear to be a chuckle, not turning back to look, but keeping It's eyes forward and scanning for threats.
Re: Beachfront Property
Unless anyone objects the party hustles to the ship.

Re: Beachfront Property
You hustle after the elves and on to the ship. As you reach the beach where the ship is docked, the elven squad that was escorting you is nowhere to be seen. Instead you see several boats pulled up onto the shore. Along the treeline are some well hidden huts and there is much commotion between the boats and the huts.
If it were not for the men coming in and out of the huts, you may not have even noticed them, since they are well hidden among the trees. Off the shore about half a mile, you see a large Galleon.
You see an older man moving towards the group slowly. As he reaches you, you can see the tanned skin of a old sailor. His clothing seems the standard sailor fare of a white open tunic and light brown pants. His hair is white and receeding from his brow, although his eyes seem to take in everything he see's.
“Welcome. The Cap'n had tol' me ya would be coming soon. We be gettin reddy to set sail as soon as we gets ya aboard. An dem elves that were just 'ere said you were right behin' dem.
Now, lemme see who'an all we gots 'ere. Ya all seem like a fit farin' group. Methinks the big'n flyin' centar aught' ta be able to get to the ship 'imself. The restin you all better hurry on to the boats.
Metal guy, you'an lookin mighty heavy, Ya thinks you can row a boat out to the ship yerself. I dunno if'n I trust your weight addin to what else we 'ave goin.
And little girl, ya had best be lookin like someone else. I ain't ta only one that'll see through ya, but at least I will na be upset wit ya. Cap'n Fredericks will most certainly be lookin ta throw ya o'erboard if'n you come on lookin like da prince. An' he mighten be tossin me wit ya for lettin ya do it”

Re: Beachfront Property
Andraes responds, “I forsee no problems with rowing myself aboard. However, if you are anchored, I can easly walk over and climb up. The boats can be used for more purposeful things, like loading supplies for those who need to eat.”
It looks out to the ship and, provided it is anchored, begins to walk.

Re: Beachfront Property
Samara undisguises herself, bows, and laughs, “Never try to fool an old sailor, eh? At least it's nice to know we'll be in the company of folks less gullible than elven soldiers.” She'll then head for the boats.

Mal swoops over the boat, and remains in the sky for a while longer before landing on the boat.

Mar walks up to the old sailor and says “Thank you for your hospitality. I am Marsaili, but you may call me Mar. And you are?”
Re: Beachfront Property
Sammuel nodded, and headed with everyone to the boat. Andrea joined them, but confessed to not being much of a rower.
