Seeing the possible damage the wizard is capable of doing to the others, Mal will charge the wizard, and attempt a grapple.

"You should know that I inherited my father's hide wizard. Perhaps this was intentional though... I will approach it as if it was..." Mal speaks to his comrade, as he attempts to bear hug him.

Doc readies his crossbow, aiming at Sammuel in case he decides to cast again.

Sammuel seems to lose his blance but holds himself up as an invisible Andrea appears trying to knock him off the dock (which, of course, almost worked)

Armite swings to knock out his comrade, the first strike seems to be able to get him (-10), but apparently Andrea's movement into the area caused a distraction as his second swing veers way wide (nat 1 on the second swing)

Mal rushes in to grapple with Sammuel. He grabs him and holds him where he is at.

Marsaili asks everyone to stand down as she drops her bow and starts singing and playing her lute (Perform Check:39)

Sammuel hears the music and although grappled, he begins to calm down. (Will Save: 26)

Samara moves her five feet to flank the grappled Sammuel and seeing him fascinated by the song holds her attack.

Here is where the fun really starts

 

Up from the water, tentacles start flailing about as a darker and slightly larger Aboleth rises from the water right next to the dock where just about everyone is.

2 of the tentacles slap Malsvirirlym, one of the catching him completely by surprise (-39). The slime of its tentacle tries to stick to his sin but cannot. (Made both your saves)

Mar looks worried about the second monster, but knowing that she must keep Sammuel from attacking her friends keeps singing and playing.

Dang..... had she knocked him ontop of the arboleth it would have been so funny.....

Seeing the arboleth Andrea will move back to 1719 then cast haste on Armite, Mal, Samara and Doc

Doc will move to 1022 and shoot at the new aboleth. She yells Bachs, help Mal! Bachs will move next to Mal and throw a flask of alchemist's fire at the aboleth.

Mal, sensing the vulnerable position he is in, and holding the wizard will do what comes naturally, and withdraws up into the air, diagonally from the Aboleth, hoping to avoid it's tentacles.

Holding the wizard as best he can, he attempts to get through to the man, "If you struggle too much, you might die, don't make me regret helping you."

Wow, thought I had answered this, and as I go to do validation I find that I did not. Armite cannot get the Aboleth currently because Mal is in the way.

Bad neglectful DM, making everyone wait because I can't get the fight done. I have everything set, although because of how things are working, I have a pm out waiting for a response. I just sent it this morning, but as soon as I get that response, I can post the next validation. Again, my apologies to all

Sammuel continues to stay calm in the clutches of Marsaili's song and Mal's grip.

Doc fires a shot from his crossbow into the creature, his little packmate moving forward next to Mal and throwing an alchemist fire at the Aboleth in the water, missing the creature.

Andrea speaks some arcane words, hasting her allies in the fight.

Mal moves away from the creature, realizing his predicament.

Armite moves into Mal's vacated position and Swings at the beast, landing a very viscious looking blow on it.

Marsaili continues her song to keep Sammuel calm.

In a twist of fate, a hasted Samara says angrily “I'll not be your next victim, horse-man!” Throwing her dagger at Mal, her strike is very painful with an explosion as it hits. (-22) Fortunately for Mal, the fire does no additional damage to him, however Sammuel feels the pain of the blast as it explodes (-11)

The Aboleth retaliates against Armite, 2 of its tentacles smashing into him. (-25) Armites skin also feels strange from the strike but the slime on it oozes off on to the dock (You also made both saves)

The Aboleth sinks into the water, a bloody ooze beginning to surface from underneath of it.

Samara and Sammuel both feel the release of their minds.

A moment later, a slime covered Andraes emerges from the water, looking pretty beat up and battered.

Combat is over now, but I am putting up a map so you have an idea of where people are
