OUT-OF-CHARACTER:    Guys: The Hunter (Volgen's player) has disappeared from the forums and Hela's player has not visited since August 12th. We can either continue with three players or call an end to this game. Up to you. I will let you know that there's no grand secret at the end of this dungeon; it's just a series of annoying riddles, although you are being rewarded with magic items when you answer the riddles correctly. Either way, your answer to this riddle is right.

OUT-OF-CHARACTER:    Alrighty then, we will continue with three players. We can consider recruiting some new additions when you reach someplace, in character, where there are actually other people around... I'm just going to say that Volgen and Hela wandered off before you guys entered this room.

Straia thinks she has finally got one and yells out... “ Maps! ” The other party members agree and the paralysis effect ends. On the floor in the center of the room, a small steel shield appears. It is shiny, round and on its face is depicted a crescent moon.

“It’s beautiful!” Straia is mesmerized by the shield as it appears on the ground and before anybody can say anything she picks it up.

Gratchl will continue to look at the diaramas to see if they have changed. Once she is bored with them she will go and check out the two doors to the north getting them ready (traps, locked, listen behind) she will check with the party to see if we are ready to move one.

Domasa wuill cast detect Magic on the sheild “Straia would you wish to put it into my bag till we can get it identified for you if that is what you wish to keep.”

“OK” Straia lays the shield down so Domasa can detect magic... “Sorry, yes your right. We should store it with the other items till we know the its true nature.”
“So Gratchl, what have you found? Can we move on?”

Gratchl searches the north doors and finds no traps. The doors are unlocked.

Straia lays the shield on the floor so that Domasa can examine it. Domasa's detect magic reveals two faint auras: abjuration and illusion.

OUT-OF-CHARACTER:    I'm too lazy to update the map, but it's not important exactly where everyone is standing right now.

Straia moves to 0427 “Well lets see what awaits us in here”... Straia opens the doors @ 0326 & 0426.

Gratchl moves to the side and lets the big guys open the doors, once safe she will be ready to go and scout.

Domasa will put the shield in her haversack and then move behind Gratchl

Sadly all for now i have to back out of D&D for a bit. need to get back into the real world and find a job and my mums heath is poor at this time. sorry all. it was a blast.

OUT-OF-CHARACTER:    Ack. I guess my post last night didn't take. I tried to say the same thing as I did here. Now, however, with only two players left, I don't think this game should continue. I admit that my heart really hasn't been in this one for a while. I don't have much of a plan for what happens next after you're done with the riddle dungeon. Kabkal and smeltdm - since you guys are both in my other game, I know I'm not leaving you completely without a game to play. You also both get first dibs on spots in anything else I run. And I'm sure there will be something. At least some more"short" (2+ year) Champions of Destiny missions.

There are a few ppl who asked me if PbPs had spots left... So if you start anything, finding players should not be a problem - specially if I advertize it in the NewsLetter!
