Father Zantus considers for a moment Mak's request and nods. “If you all can spare some time, I may be able to muster up some Portable Healing.” Father Zantus departs and the group of you kill time by checking you gear and weapons and implements; cleaning, repairing, etc.
Sandpoint is clearly as small a town as any other of it's size. Rumor of your activity at the Sandpoint Glassworks seems to have spread. All this unusual activity has drawn much activity outside the building and concern, but more so, word had reach the Mayor of Sandpoint. Unexpectedly, Mayor Kendra Deverin strolls in to where you're at.
“Agian, Sandpoint's Heroes have risen to to our aid. Most unfortunate the turn of events. Ameiko my dear, I'm truely sorry for the loss of your father, and with what's become of your brother's... Shall we say... Misguided, though treacherous, actions. This must be so overwhelming for you.” The Mayor take Ameiko's hand in a comforting gesture.
“Thanks, Lady Mayor, but even I have heard some of the rumors in regards to my father's activities. With all that has come about now, the Glassworks will turn over to me and I hope, with the blessing of many, to bring it back to full operation once everything has settled.”
“Of course Ameiko. I understand, and will do what I can to help support and encourage the Glassworks return to full operation again. Forgive me, but I'm understanding there was a journal from your brother? Might I be able to review it?”
Whichever of you have the journal, you bring it forth and the Mayor reads through the pages. When she gets to the end she closes the small book and returns it back to the person she got it from. “This is very alarming Ameiko.” She looks to everyone in the room, “No word of this can be let out, or the entire town will fall to chaos. As soon as Sheriff Hemlock returns, which I expect to be tomorrow morning, we'll have to have a meeting over this and discuss further action. Anyone who may learn of this would be alarmed, to say the least, in learning a woman they thought dead, and loved, has come to such madness.”
A bit of a commotion is heard and when you all go to investigate, you see that the guards and Grovi's men have rounded up the goblins Mak had knocked out. They were prepping them for escort elsewhere for better containment. One of the men is questioning the goblins, but clearly not getting anything worth while. “It may be best to keep these things held here for a bit, until we're able to secure a more discrete means of getting them to the garrison without alarming the people.”
“Yes, perhaps. It's up to Ameiko though.” The Mayor looks to her.
“They can't do more harm than already done.”
Soon enough, Father Zantus returns grinning. “You'll find that a bit of luck and good faith goes a long way. It seems that Vorvashali Voon has something that can be useful in you mission. When he heard that Violasha was here, he offered a wand of healing. It's used, he says it had maybe six uses left to it and can heal light wounds. He made sure to express that this was only on loan, he hopes to get the wand back to eventually replenish it. Violasha, he spoke well of your interest and skill in the arcane.”
The Mayor politely interupts, “What's going on here? Are you planning on entering those catacombs now?”
