As does Ardrea.
Re: [Active Thread] The Hall of Harsh Reflections
Prost stowe’s his gear, and after securing his room grabs a quick bite to eat. Sharing what scraps he was able to get for Fluffy, he takes him for a run and training session before retiring for the evening.

Dining in the inn's taproom, which is most of the main floor, the party finds the food quite good and the company lively. The hall remains quite busy into the night, though it stops short of being raucous or rowdy. Whenever they choose to retire after taking advantage of the free drinks, the party members discover their rooms to be clean and of good quality, each containing a straw mattress bed, wardrobe, and table with an oil lamp.

In spite of this being a city devoted to scholarly wizard-type magic, Ardrea is able to find practitioners of witchcraft to do her hex retraining. For the rest of you, anything mundane you might want is readily available at regular prices. Anything magical, up to some ridiculous amount of gold, has a 75% chance of being immediately available (feel free to roll). Even if it's not, you can probably order it made here for some very small markup... Just let me know what you want to buy or anything else you want to do. Interesting things might happen after that... |

Tex is looking around for a quiver like this...
https://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic-items/wo ... nt-quiver/
rolled 80% so he''ll order it.
He can barely afford it so he also keeps an eye out for any money making opportunities.

After thanking (and paying) the staff and Tarquin for the breakfast, Worrel goes in search of an enchanter willing to work on his armor and shield. Nothing spectacular, simply making the items magical.
OUT OF CHARACTER |
Worrel current has MW Full Plate and a MW Heavy Steel Shield. He would like to have each of these enchanted to +1. |

Re: [Active Thread] The Hall of Harsh Reflections
Prost wakes early the next morning to seak out other halflings in the largest community of halflings that he has seen in years.
Over the next few days, he searches for aid and guidance on how to become a master of his sling staff, thru training or magic. He does learn of a group of halflings known as Warslingers but learns nothing more that will lead him to his goal to master the art. He leaves word wherever he can that he is seeking this path. The rest of his time he spends seeking an agile sling staff with magical properties that allows him to use his dexterous abilities to cause damage and something he has heard of called halfling slippers or was it Subtle Slippers? His hope is that maybe the halfling community may direct him to something useful...
1) Warslinger path...
2) Agile sling staff...
3) Subtle Sippers...
4) or something from the Halfling community...

Cyrius agrees some Remove Disease scrolls would be useful.

Re: [Active Thread] The Hall of Harsh Reflections
With a little guidance from Tarquin about where to find the best deals, the party spends the next day shopping in the vast magical markets of Tula and finds that most of what they want is either readily available or can be procured quickly. Results and prices below. Let me know what you ultimately want to buy or order.
- Ardrea is busy studying some witchcraft, but that evening the rest of the party reports all of the items she was interested in are readily available: ring of protection +1 (2,000 gp), cloak of resistance +1 (1,000 gp), amulet of natural armor +1 (2,000 gp)
- Tex is not able to find an efficient quiver, but can order one for only a small markup (1,890 gp). It will be ready in 2 days. Jobs for dwarf rangers seem hard to come by (but there will be an opportunity to win more treasure very soon, so don't worry too much about running out of money)
- Worrel finds that enchanting his armor and shield would cost 1,000 gp each (2,000 gp total), but he would be without the items for 2 days. As an alternative, he could trade in his masterwork items for new magical items for 1,085 gp for the shield, 1,825 gp for the armor (2,910 gp total) and have them to use immediately.
- Prost finds out that, yes, there is a society of halflings known as Warslingers, but they prefer the more simple sling and eschew the sling staff. An agile halfling sling staff is available, but costs 8,320 gp (it's effectively a +2 weapon, since it has to be +1 before it can be made agile). Subtle slippers can be ordered for 2,888 gp and would be ready in 3 days.
- Surprisingly, scrolls of remove disease are currently all sold out. Apparently, there was a recent outbreak of some exotic disease called "the Rona." But scrolls can be special ordered for 390 gp each. They'd be ready tomorrow (3x390/6 = 195 gp each).
- Lola is able to locate Daredevil Softpaw Boots (1,400 gp).

Ardrea will select the Cloak of Resistance +1, and the Amulet of Natural Armor +1 for a total of 3000 gp. She will also chip in 195 gp to go towards the scrolls.
3195 gp all in.

Also, as you post your purchases, go ahead an update your character sheets and post them in their respective threads (links here). That way I'll have them all current in the DM Sheet for the next action, coming... soon |

Re: [Active Thread] The Hall of Harsh Reflections
Prost discovers he is much too poor to afford anything new and will look to restock ordinary +1 bullet...perhaps 20.Prost finds out that, yes, there is a society of halflings known as Warslingers, but they prefer the more simple sling and eschew the sling staff. last time purchased 20 +1 bullets was 920. Unless Prost can find a +1 sling staff for less than 1700gp |

For Prost: 920 gp is the correct price for 20 +1 bullets. They are available. I have updated versions of Ardrea, Worrel, and Tex loaded in the DM sheet. There are extremely minor edits to each in their respective threads I do not see an updated Lola in her thread here? The party as a whole has enough gold to afford the scrolls, but individual characters do not. Rather than tracking a series of loans across character sheets, I will just track them as loans from future loot in the treasure thread. So, I think I'm just waiting on updates for Lola and Prost. |

I may have done it incorrectly, but version 6 is in the very first thread so you wouldn't have to scroll. |

Got him. I made a version 6.2 to correct the gold carried. I have everything I need. I will try to get the next action up this weekend or Monday. |

Re: [Active Thread] The Hall of Harsh Reflections
Over the course of three days, the party completes all its shopping, including receiving and paying for some special orders. All goes smoothly and they grow more or less adjusted to life in the big city, living at the Crooked House. Their rooms are all of good quality, containing a straw mattress bed, wardrobe, and table with an oil lamp.
Thanks to the free drinks, the group spends their evenings in the Crooked House taproom. As previously noted, the taproom is decorated with numerous trophies, primarily owlbear heads. The tables have uneven legs so that they sit level on the slightly sloping floor. The staircase leading upstairs is a bit treacherous, as it has shifted significantly over the years.
The taproom is often busy late into the night, and things can sometimes get rather lively, especially when a local bard or street performer stops by to entertain the guests. This has been one such night, but the performance is now over and activities are starting to wind down. There's still a noisy crowd of patrons loitering, but you know that Tarquin will be closing up the bar soon. It's the time when some or all of you might be considering heading to your rooms on the 2nd or 3rd floor...

Each of you should choose whether your character will (1) head to bed for a good night's sleep and an early start tomorrow or (2) stay up until closing drinking and carousing in the common room. If you're staying up, pick a location in the first floor taproom. If you're going to bed, choose a location in a room on the 2nd floor or indicate that your character prefers a 3rd floor room, farther from the noise. You'll be a bit off the map in that case, but it's no big deal for this encounter. |
Re: [Active Thread] The Hall of Harsh Reflections
Prost retreats to his room (3rd floor) early to get away from the noise and also to get a training session in with Fluffy.
