Tex shakes himself out of the shock of attacking boxes and starts looking around the main floor while Prost checks out the catwalk.

Upon noticing the footprints, Prost calls out “Tex I think this may be right up you alley. I got some footprints up here, do you think you could take a look at them? ” While waiting on Tex Prost give a close examination of the warehouse floor from on high. Searching for anything unusually about the crates/storage below

Lola will look around under the catwalk to see if there is anything of interest.

Ardrea moves up closer to the group.

Tex searches the boxes near where he's standing.

Lola moves over to look around under the catwalk and also checks a couple of barrels on the way there.

The crates and barrels that Tex and Lola search, including several under the catwalk, are filled with cheap goods such as rough cloth, spoiled ale, and chainmail links. One barrel contains a sour alcohol that Tex realizes would probably have been useful for dissolving mimic adhesive.

Prost calls out Tex “I think this may be right up your alley. I got some footprints up here, do you think you could take a look at them?” He doesn't notice anything unusual from his new, higher vantage point.

On the map, I've marked the containers that have been searched with red X's. If you want to search other containers, I'll need you to be specific about where your moving to do so. Prost remains at the point where he first noticed the footprints, but they seem to be all over the catwalk. Trying to figure out where the footprints actually go will require a Survival check... The doors at 0927, 1227, and 1527 (up on the catwalk) have been opened and the rooms beyond searched. There remains an unopened door at 1220. I will be out of town until next Monday, July 11. I'll check posts then.

Lola notices still some teammates are bloodied still, moves to 1124 to position herself to be in the center of the injured and channels a heal. if people are also shifting she tries to shift to hit all 3 wounded people.

Lola adds, “i seem to be carrying more than i should and its slowing my movement to be able to position to heal us, anyone have space for say 35 of my crossbow bolts?? i will still have more than enough for any battle.”

she is med encumberance, but just barely... Removing some of her 70+ bolts will make her light encumberance, beyond going back to 30' move, also amazon with light encumberance gets some other small minor benefits

Prost tries to follow the tracks, but is unable to make heads or tails of them until Tex climbs up to point out the more subtle details. Together they determine that the footprints lead north and end in the blank wall at the north end of the catwalk (see purple arrow on map).

Cyrius searches another crate and barrel, finding more of the same: uninteresting, low value trade goods.

Lola moves into the center of the room and channels energy to provide healing for the whole party [10 hp to everyone]. She passes some of her crossbow bolts off to Tex.

Prost looks to Tex, “Let's see where these tracks are going” as Prost nodes towards the wall to the north. “I'll check for traps first and then let's search for any foot levers or push panel that may open some hidden door. ”

Prost doesn't find any traps, but quickly locates a secret door and the hidden catch to open it...

"Nice find Prost!", Tex murmurs.

To the others he calls down softly, “Prost found another way in. I think mebbe we should take it.”

Lola says "Interesting that someone was able to look like me, had a key that leads to a location with mimics, yet another thing that can look like something else... seems more than coincidence... I think we need to keep a sharper eye out for things not being what we initially see in here.."

She moves next to Worrel (1023), gives up a bless to cast cure light wounds

While others search chests/barrels, someone said alcohol helps fighting mimics? (i think was in earlier posts) Lola will look for a small flask or sealable small jar to grab some of the sour alcohol in case any more mimics, like 5-6 ounces. If that wasnt said out loud then just ignore this and Lola searches a crate not already searched.

Responding to Cyrius, “My vote is carefully open the catwalk secret door, maybe that will continue to be a catwalk higher than the remaining door's floor if there are things to kill...”

She will move up behind Tex. Around 1523.

Just to move things along, since the party seemed to have a quorum of votes for it, I had Prost open the door...

 

Lola casts a healing spell on Worrel [13 hp healed]. Then she manages to find a small jar and fill it with some of the sour alcohol.

The party discusses which door to open and Ardrea moves up to the catwalk behind Tex. Since the consensus seems to be to open the secret door, Prost triggers the hidden catch.

The secret door from the catwalk leads to the top of a staircase that descends into an oblong chamber. Curiously, although it looks like the door from the north wall of the warehouse (at 1220) should open into this chamber, there's no sign of it from this side. Instead, the only apparent exit from this chamber is a door on the west wall (at 1218). There are also several chests on the floor along the north wall.

Prost doesn't find any traps or indication that anyone is lurking in the room. However, the room is less dusty than the warehouse, perhaps better kept, or more frequently used, or both.
