None of the defeated doppelgangers, including the unconscious fake Prost, has any equipment or clues on them. The key from the doppelganger at the bar doesn't have any writing on it. When real Prost re-examines the chests at the bottom of the stairs, he finds nothing new. You already emptied them.

Is anyone going to heal fake Prost and try to interrogate him, now that he's tied up?

Worrel looks to his companions, checking that they agree with this action before healing the doppelganger.

Once someone nods, he invokes a minor healing. Just enough to restore the creature to conciousness.

By "invokes a minor healing" do you mean to use a lay on hands? You have 2 left (not 1 as reported above). Or use a charge from your wand of CLW?

Either way, I'll wait to make sure there are no objections first...

Prost would recommend a wand too, because I wouldn’t trust him. Although that’s meta-gaming on my part since I’m not there ha ;)

Lola days, 3 of you are hurt. I have 1 channel heal left... i could also heal it with that, but that could heal it more than we want to just get it concious... but i think we should hesl our party before it wakes up. Also, its a shapeshifter so cant it shapeshift into say a hobbit to make the ropes loose? But I think the magic whip may auto adjust, while regular knots wont...

I could use some healing…let me know and I will sneak around the corner to be within range your divine healing, and return to back around the corner, so as not to be seen by the doppelgänger.

After a search of the doppelganger bodies turns up nothing, the party has a brief discussion. Real Prost hides around the corner while Worrel uses his wand to heal the captured fake Prost [6 lethal hp + 6 nonlethal hp healed].

The creature immediately struggles against the ropes, going so far as to shift between various different appearances. Fortunately, it does not seem able to get much smaller than Prost and cannot escape. Realizing the futility of its situation, it settles down in the form of a small doppelganger, beady eyes glaring at the party out of its noseless face.

OUT OF CHARACTER
Feel free to proceed with the interrogation. If Lola wants to gather the injured party members together out of range of the doppelganger and use a channel heal, that's fine, too.

ACTIVE EFFECTS
Bless (all PCs except Prost): 3.2 minutes remaining
Feather Token Whip: +10 BAB, 1d6+1 nonlethal, free grapple attack (with a +15 bonus on its combat maneuver checks) if it hits; 57.1 minutes remaining

The solid red lines are solid walls in the "basement" room. The dashed red lines have holes easily big enough for a gaseous halfling to move through.

1. Lola - loaded crossbow readied, 30 bolts left, 1 channel energy left

2. Tex - 83 arrows left, 35 hp damage

3. Worrel - 17 arrows left, 1 lay on hands left, wand of CLW 20 charges left

4. Ardrea - staff readied, fly 1 minute used

5. Cyrius - uncharged mind blade longsword readied, 7 hp damage

6. Prost - unloaded slingstaff readied, 37 bullets left, 18 bullets +1 left, 26 hp damage

7. Fluffy

8. Invisible Attacker 1? - 23 hp damage, including 3 nonlethal

9. Invisible Attacker 2? - 55 hp damage, including 6 nonlethal

10. Doppelganger formerly known as Fake Prost - 31 hp damage including 6 nonlethal, tied up with ropes and a flying whip

For reference, this is a description of the room with the invisible creatures: Much of the floor of this ruined chamber has given way, revealing a large stagnant pool of water below. Rusted spears and broken swords break the surface of this pool throughout the room. A framework of soggy timbers that might have once supported the floor still stands, stretching out across the void.

Ardrea suggests that she could try to cast a 'charm' on the doppleganger.
If successful, he might tell me the password.
Anyone have another or better idea?

Ardrea will use her 'Hex: vs Saves: even a failure will last one round. -2 to to saves.
In the next round, she will cast 'Charm Person' at the doppleganger.
She will remind her allies. Please do not threaten the doppleganger once it's charmed. Assuming it works.

After a short discussion, Ardrea applies some witchcraft to the prisoner [Hex vs Saves, then Charm Person]. The doppelganger glares at her and says, My will is stronger than yours, enchantress. Not only that, but I know your secrets. Begone, lest I inform your unwitting allies!

Unfortunately, he made two saves, including the second one at -2

Worrel turns to the doppelganger, looking the creature over before smiling.

"Somehow," he begins, "I think that we have common enemies. Perhaps. Sometimes, the enemy of my enemy is .. well, 'friend' would be strong of a word. As would, 'ally'."

After waiting a moment, he continues. "I think someone sent us here, hoping that we would run into you and your friends. Hoping to take both of us out with little risk to themselves. Maybe we can swap information. What do you think?

The small doppelganger replies to Worrel, You really think so? After some thought, it continues, Perhaps... Who do you suspect might be behind this nefarious plot? If we can identify them, I could be of great assistance in seeking revenge!

Worrel thinks quickly, not wanting to reveal too much to this frenemy(?).

"We came here looking for information on someone who attacked us. And, that incident with the parade, if you heard about that," he begins.

"Were you and your friends also sent here? In a similar fashion? Ourselves, we want to find out about the origins of these marked chests.
