He will attempt to Exploit Vulnerability, with an Esoteric check to see if the panther has a weakness. Discord: 13
He will be prepared to swing his hammer if the panther steps into range.

Burned and beaten, the panther now lies dead before you. Ecmond's jaw drops at the shear speed and skill you used to dispatch the mighty beast.

The Grippli slowly realizes that his life is not going to end quite so soon as he thought. “Oh, you have my deepest thanks, dear adventurers. My name is Prembret. I thought for sure my life was forfeit to that terrible creature!”

Pixel approaches the Grippli, extending a slightly burned at the tips, hand
“Hello Prembret! I be Pixel, the Mighty Fire Sorcerer!”
“Are you ok? Did the big cat hurt you?” Pixel asks, looking over the Grippli for wounds.

Tover nods at Prembret and says “Well met Prembret, are you local to this place?” then looks across the party “Seems like the bad kitty got past my shield a bit.. Anyone got a med kit or maybe healing spell? While I am used to patching myself up a bit, but maybe someone here is better?”
I then look down over the panther briefly and say “We killed it, shouldn't waste all this meat..... I know a little bit about butchering, but maybe someone here is better? I wonder is there a market for a panther pelt maybe? Granda always said 'one gnomes trash could be someone else's treasure'”

“I have two infused peaches you are welcome to. They are of my own design and help wounds to clot.” Prembret pulls out the two peaches, offering them to the group.

“Oh infused peaches - Good fruits!! ” Pixel says, accepting the fruits. He carefully pockets one. Turning to Inva, he hands her the other peach.

“Inva, best you keep that potion too! I can do a bit of heal...” he trails off, as he starts casting a Heal on Tover.

Turning back to the Grippli “Oh!! Perhaps you can help! We looking for...” He trails off, scratching his chin while trying to remember why he is in the middle of the Jungle in the first place. Failing, he turns to the Dwarf; “Ah hmm Sir Dwarf, why we here again?” he asks innocently.

Prembret looks a little apprehensive, “I'm afraid I'm not familiar with those. Not from here, you know. A few days ago I felt an urge to explore the Sodden Lands and see what is out here, and now here I am.”

Pensive, Pixel's turns back to the Grippli. “Where you get this?” he asks the Grippli, the gifted peach back in the palm of his right hand.

Do you know where these farms are located? By chance have you also seen any dry locations?

“Are you ok? Did the big cat hurt you?” Pixel asks, looking over the Grippli for wounds.

“No, you dispatched the beast before he could lay a claw on me!”

“Well met Prembret, are you local to this place?”

“No, I'm from Hyrantam.”

Prembret looks puzzled, “I made it!”

Do you know where these farms are located? By chance have you also seen any dry locations?

“I'm afraid I've never heard of these jungle farms, and being from Hyrantam, I've never seen a dry location. I did have some shelter setup at my camp, but it has been overrun by leeches and I have lost all my other inventions, and, even worse, my workbook with all my recipes and adventures!”

Ecmund perks up at the mention of recorded adventures. “My dear friends, we must help our kindred spirit here to recover his property!”

Excited, Pixel chimes in “Yes, yes we go hunt Leeches! You show us where, yes?” he asks the Grippli, stowing the fruit back.

Tover looks at our new guest “How big are these leeches?” then looks at the party “Anyone Care to lend me a hand or guidance type
spell while i try to skin and carve up this panther?”

Rolling Survival (for now) without any help ... natural 1 on skill, becomes 7

“Yes, yes we go hunt Leeches! You show us where, yes?”

“You would do that for me? Oh, how wonderful! Certainly I will show you where!”

“How big are these leeches?”

“Quite large. About the size of yourself, my friend!”

Tover gets to work skinning the panther in the pouring rain on the banks of the river. His hands are not steady as he slices through the skin, and the knife slips several times. Victor attempts to help by steadying the carcass as Tover makes his slices, but it is not enough to counter the slipperiness of the soaked skin. After the skinning is done, you look at the pelt and can tell that no one will ever buy this.

“Let's get going! We have a book to rescue!”, says Ecmund.

Go ahead and finish out this thread by planning how you want to proceed. My next post will be in a new thread for Scene 3. The Scene 2 bonus will no longer apply, but you will each receive one more Hero Point at the start of the scene.

He turns back to the Grippli; “Inva correct.. we be much fatigued now... Do you have something to fix fatigued?” he asks, wondering if something like this even exists.
