Adjusting the Caster Level
I have v7.50.8 and have created an 11th level character, 7th level sorcerer, 4th level Elemental Savant. The question I have is in regard to the Spell Planner sheet. Specifically the calcs for determining Spells per day, Spells known and DCs. It appears to be calculating these based upon the sorcerer level and not the overall caster level. I'm unsure how to go about changing this so I get those stats based upon an 11th level caster.

On the BACK worksheet, cells AG4 and AG5 are used to adjust caster level. Assuming that Elemental Savant is loaded in Custom Class N (where N is 1, 2, or 3), enter the following formula into both cells: =lvl_CustomN
This will adjust your spells per day and spells known by your level in Elemental Savant.
Next, go to the Spell Planner worksheet. Cell K2 allows you to adjust your Effective Caster Level. You just plop in the same formula (If elemental savant does not grant +1 caster level every level, then tell me what the progression is, and I will help you create a formula for that.

Lol, Richard was about to respond, but he was falling asleep, so I told him that I would field the answers . With TOS+ (which will be released to the public in the next short while), it automatically handles prestige classes that grant bonus caster level, so long as you only have one applicable base class to apply it to .

I wouldn't call TOS+ an "upgrade" as it is a new product, detailed here.slightheart wrote:I'm looking forward to the upgrade. This certainly makes it easier than it was back when I started playing..........1982. Whoops, my age is showing.
And thank you Shai for replying
I was so tired (after adding dynamic power planners to TOS+) that I couldn't keep my eyes open .. !
