A dabber at the gates

Aeless will hide and wait for possible movements either from the dudes or our side, observing and keeping a tab on things.

Ruadhnait stands in front of the gates, staring around angrily [I imagine that's what she'd do, anyway]

Thanis and Aeless hide and take up positions to keep watch. Through his scope, Thanis can tell the Dudes are still doing something around the abandoned jif. This continues a while. Then, suddenly, the figures jump aboard their vehicles.

The vehicles begin moving at a rapid speed. They aren't coming toward you ... they're heading directly away from town to the west.

There's no news from the hoomauneeheether ... yet.

Thanis realizes he might not know how to use the hoomauneeheether. Either way he tries...

"uh, hello? is this working?" ...


"The Dudes were still milling aroung the diversion jif, but they just suddenly jumped back to their vehicles and bolted! Really fast! looks like their heading west. Anyone know what made them jump?"

Thanis will watch them go farther and farther from town until they are out of sight, then head back to the gate with all his gear. If they stop somewhere before leaveing his sight, he'll stay put for now.

"Seeing a somewhat wierd reaction from the dudes." Aeless signals Thanis, if should we engage them immediately?

I dont know if Aeless can see Thanis.

But if Thanis saw the signal, he will signal back with a big No.

I will be out of town until sunday evening, and my access to the internets will be questionable. Going to Disney World and not sure i'll have time to get online. Pat - if need be, you can run Thanis as you think he would act.

Thanis signals Aeless not to act and the Dudes tear off out of sight, heading west.

Thanis operates the hoomauneeheether to tell Sam what's going on ... [The device is easy enough to operate, and we'll assume Shareev gave you some basic instructions. I'm posting your message in the other thread, so keep an eye on that one for any response.]

Then he heads back toward the gate.

Thanis and Aeless join Ruadhnait in front of the town gate. There's no response from the hoomauneeheether on Thanis' wrist ...

With the dudes heading out, thanis hands hoomauneeheether to Aeless and heads into Sams Place to whats going on.

"Aeless, can you keep watch and let us know if you spot anything? I'm gonna go find out what'ts going on in there."

As he is about to leave for Sam's, Thanis hears Shareev's voice from the hoomauneeheether, "Thanis, can you and Aeless find that Dabber. Apparently he is working with them. Take him out if you can."

Thanis looks at Aeless...

"Well then... Lets get in there and find us a Sneaky Dabber."

He'll head to the Inn first (Alice's?)

to Shareev...

"Gotcha, we're headin' to Alice's"

OOC: Is anybody going to bother to communicate the latest development to Esias, the guy who can follow tracks?

"Esias" Thanis yells...

"That dabber was a plant, a spy, we need to you to track him and find him."

Thanis will signal to everyone else out here as weel, that they are going inside the town.

Assuming Esias hears Thanis' hail (Listen of +12), he'll shinny down from his perch and see if he can follow the dabber's trail (Survival is +10 with a +2 synergy bonus from Search for tracking, so +12 total).

With a nod the ranger moves into the dark shadows that had crept into town, and he begins his search on the dabber.
