Title: Duni's World Bazaar

Brief description: Active Subscription to TOS+ Forums & TOS+ v3.410 or newer required.
This story will be played out "off the cuff" using modules I have in PDF or just plain improvising as things unfold. There is no running plot as of now, but characters in the game may end up causing the birth of a plot or two by their action.

Prologue: The group of you are life-long friends, "brothers in crime". You have a tendency of causing trouble, but mostly it's all pranks, some of which go terribly wrong. Many in the village know of you and the trouble you've caused for them, and some just don't even like you. You're well known by the Sheriff and his men (names to be given once I know them) and have spent brief visits at his "hotel". The village is plagued by an illness that no one knows the cause of fully. Each of you have a relative who's come ill (or know of your friend's relative who is ill) and now people are known to have died from it.

Rule System: The backdrop will be Pathfinder RPG (D&D 3.75 Ed) and will follow the Pathfinder Core Rule Set.

Validation Frequency: Every Monday and Thursday. Minimum of twice weekly if players can't post more often.

Min/Max Number of Players: I'll be hoping for 4-6 players that can log in each day or each other day and post their character's action if necessary.

Start Date: In Progress.

Source Books Allowed: All Pathfinder RPG content, PF CRB, Advanced Player's Guide (soon to be released), etc.

Classes and Races Allowed: All classes, Races available through PF, DM approval required. Prestige packages MAY be permitted later on in game.

Starting Level of PCs: Starting Level will be 1st and everyone will be native born to the same village. Level Progression will be Fast.

Stats Generation: Use Invisible Castle (create user account if needed, it's free.) with the following filled in:

1. Character Name: Enter your character's name
2. Campaign Name: Duni's World Bazaar
3. Number of rolls: 6
4. Dice: 4d6.minroll(1).takeHighest(3)
5. Notes: Anything you wish.

Starting Equipment/Wealth: Starting Wealth will be average and is found HERE. All equipment is available with The Adventurers Armory pending approval by selection. Starting HP will be Max HD Value.

Background Information: Everyone will be selecting a number of Character Traits that are in TOS+ v3.410. At least one of these traits will be tied to your background. A background story will be required but determined once I have players. Your backgrounds will be based off the prologue using my copy of Darkmoon Vail that I can send to you. It has been edited to remove a whole section near the end that contains spoiler content.

End Conditions: TPK, Campaign Completion, or further.

About ME: I'm me. I like a fast paced game. Waiting a whole week for validations or player posts just drives me nuts (nothing personal to those who like the once weekly thing).

MY Subscription End Time: Duniagdra has a permanent subscription!

Notes: I validate often and gauge a player's activity by the number of times he/she misses my validation without notice. When in rounds, I stick to the Monday/Thursday validation days. If you have not posted by that day your turn is lost. If you're able to post that day, but after my validation, it will be considered, unless this gets to be regular practice for a player.

Leveling HP rolls will use the following system:

• 1d4...1d2+2
• 1d6...1d3+3
• 1d8...1d4+4
• 1d10...1d5+5
• 1d12...1d6+6

This means that if your character rolls a 1d8 each level, you now roll 1d4+4 instead.

Okay, not only do I have my minimum, but we have five players. Lets begin.

Hit Points: I thought I set the rule for HP, but I'm not seeing it reading through again. On the XP W/S for HP, do the following:

We will use the FLAT Rule for first gen Characters as defined in the PF Beta p. 14.

Flat: Maximum hit points for 1st level plus your Constitution modifier and any other bonuses. In addition, each character receives a flat number of bonus hit points, regardless of race or class. Our recommendation is 6 hit points.

Characters Due Date: I'd like all characters PM'd to me by June 20th with a background, personality, and appearance. Once approved, I'll post them, with an update to the background/history to tie everyone together.

I'll ask Richard to provide a forum for Duni's World and all character will be there under a Character Leveling thread.

I logged into Invisi-castle and created an appropriate login and campaign assignment. I rolled stats twice, both with the wrong formula. Then I found the instructions above and I am wondering how I paste that link into the "XP W/S". Which I assume is the TOS+worksheet. Does the spreadsheet aautomatically roll up stats for us if a link is provided or does it somehow pull info from that invisi-castle page?

I'd just like to get the stats correct and correctly assigned on my worksheet.

Duni wants you to paste the link to your roll on Invisible castle on the TOS+ worksheet so he can easily verify your rolls. It will make it easier for him to look up.

So...do your rolls on the castle, when you have the results, copy the link provided (should be the first option I think) and then paste that into the XP Worksheet in the notes

It's up to you on how much of a story there is to your character. The more you give, the better idea I have in what life is like for all of you. More detail will earn bonus XP. Once I have everyone's background, I will make minor alterations to it and send it back to you to post in the thread designated for beginning characters.

Setting the selection list for feats to "All Feats" will allow you to select Web Enhancement from the feats section. they're all the way at the end following flaws. the categories are: Combat, Faith, Magic, and Social. I require one trait from the Social category and you may select one other trait from any other category.

Lo' and behold: Doran, halfling Sorcerer (2nd level).

Doran was the child of a couple of Halflings who were driven from their homes by an invasion of Orcs. Upon their flight they fell ambush to a bugbear raiding party and were killed, although they managed to hide their child - still a mere baby at this time - underneath some bushes.

This could have been the end for the child, but luckily he was found by a human lumberjack who heard the baby crying and decided to investigate. He decided to take the child home with him and adopt it as his own, one more child among 6 more siblings (4 brothers and 2 sisters).

Growing up in such a large family wasn't easy on Doran, he got bullied a lot by his elder brothers who saw in the little halfwash nothing but a pair of hands that could do all their chores. Eventually though Doran learned to get the spring on his brothers by simply being one step ahead of them, using his natural Charm to good effect on his sisters so they'd help him out when possible. Of course, when you hang around the house all day it's hard to avoid the unwelcome attention of four brothers so he quickly took to wandering around in the near vicinity pulling tricks on people and gathering quite a name for himself. It didn't take long before he attracted the attention of a like-minded group of youngsters and he eagerly joined their escapades.

About a two years ago his magical powers have come to light and while they are nothing spectacular yet, Doran has kept them well hidden from the community to avoid mistrust. Only his closest friends knew and it was one of them that advised him to go talk to the old hermit that lives out in the forest (rumors have it that he is a great wizard). After seeking council from his father Doran did just this and left shortly after finding out his powers. The hermit turned out to be a recluse human sorcerer by the name of Lobash. He took on Doran as his apprentice and taught him about the Art and how to master his powers. A couple days ago however a messenger came, bringing news that no less then two of his brothers and a sister have gotten seriously sick as well as several other townsfolk. Some even died. Doran immediately spoke to his master and said that he'd go back to the village and see if he could be of any help. As a parting gift the hermit gave him a vial of antitoxin and a wand of cure light wounds in recognition for the work that he'd done over those two years (and most likely also because he'd grown proud of his pupil).

Doran arrived in town in time to find that the cure was already found thanks to his friends and thus sets out to find them...

OUT-OF-CHARACTER:    i added a wand and vial of antitoxin to my gear to get it up to the 900 gp average for 2nd level. If it is to much then i'll remove them (or decrease charges as appropriate).

Cure Light Wounds is not a spell of the sorcerers spell list and unless I'm mistaken, there is a DC for casting spells not of your list. Using wands with spells not of your list fall in the same rules. If I'm wrong, please show me where it says so.

While Weeping Lute Omena’s got heart, charm, and a bit of street smarts, he’s not one to take a hint. The local authorities in town don’t much care for the white-knuckled, made-dizzy-from-the-fumes lifestyle of this spinning soul, and constantly try their damnedest to convince him to go anywhere else. While their attempts are typically successful at first, Retem consistently finds his way back to the tavern, wailing his freshest jammy-jam.

Enter Retem Omena. One sunny afternoon, not an hour after waking up under a table in the tavern, the local sheriff was kind enough to give Retem a non-monetary tip: a ragtag band of adventurers on an adventure bound to be loaded with profit. Pointed in the right direction, with the scent of coin tantalizing his nostrils, Retem gave chase.
