[OOC] Out of Character remarks and discussions

The wishes unleashed over the ages by two genies have warped the Pale Mountain region to keep alive both a terrible beast and a heroic protector. These wishes have subtly warped the weave of the world to put a handful of adventurers on a trail to Kelmarane. It is these adventurers who will tread the path of fate at its most treacherous juncture, and it is they who will ultimately chart the course of history.

Seriously. Never doubt the possible. Why would you assume that the expendables such as potions are included in my comment? Tell you what, For this, I'm just going to do the splitting up my self from here on out and what you get you get. I tired of silly comments like this, and this whole loot thing never fully gets resolved anyhow. Once I've issued the division, you can either keep it or offer it. Any changes in gear with require you to make sure that I'm current or it will not be counted. Making sure it is current means telling me you added this or removed that and that you then get a reply from me confirming the change has been updated on my end for the DM Sheet and the Character Token.

We'll see how this works and go from there. I'll try to have something up tomorrow.

My comment is not directly at you, since you do not play a PC.
It is a comment to the players, who have not stepped up to claim the Potions.
I though this was quite obvious, but your reaction proves otherwise.

In any case, YES, I am totally amazed that the players are not taking/claiming the potions - nor do I think it would be fair for a single character to 'hold' all the curing potions. These should be split evenly, with more emphasis on those without any healing abilities. My :2c:

I guess as a player I always assumed the expendables were just put into a pool that could be drawn from as needed. The other assumption was that there were split for carrying (even if not stated) so that way if one person went down we did not have to worry about who had the healing potion. I think of this as the same thing for money and gems... until the pile was split it was just carried by all (those that could at least) and then dolled out when at a good time (back at the inn). Maybe these were bad assumptions. I guess I will need to be more active in taking items that come up.

That is certainly one way to play them although I did not use such a method so far (at my table top).
If the DM is okay with the fact that anyone can pull out 'any' of the group's potion when in need, then sure.
I can see situations though that this would become... weird :D

Laron didn't bother with the potions purely because he didn't think he'd need any of them. The only item he's still after is the magical studded leather, and even that he might concede to another character.

I've updated the loot report.

I've divided everything as I felt most appropriate. If you feel there's any changes needed, please comment on them here.

As of now, I've chosen that you're to sell the two hand crossbows, as no one claimed them (I thought Erin or Kroft might).

Read the list carefully to makes sure I've designated what's to be sold and whats to be kept correctly. I marked the thunderstones to sell. Correct me if you wish to keep them.

I think there's in one of you with a crossbow, so I left them open assuming that person would take them since the hand crossbows went unclaimed.

There are a total of 234 arrows that I assume would be divided evenly as possible among those who have bows. Simi does not have a ranged weapon, but there are some bows to choose from if he wishes.

* Chainmail Armor [+1] (650gp) {Erin}
* Splint Mail Armor [+1] (675gp) {Ox}

I *think* that Erin/Arpat said she wouldn't use the chainmail because of the penalties it would incur on her skills (-5 Armor Check Penalty). Ox took that Chainmail as there was no others wanting it (and return his existing 'Breastplate Armor' back in the group 'pot')

As for the Splint Mail, I believe that "Oxvart" (NPC) wanted to keep it for himself

Ox has it correct.
Erin did not take the chainmail armor (read here)
she took one of the normal leather armors, the dagger+1, 2 healing potions and sneaky 2 healing potions (if no-one was looking, but i guess someone did), 2 silversheen.

So Erin ends up with one CMW potion and 2 Silversheen, a dagger+1 and normal leather(?) or chainmail+1(?) in her posession.

The handcrosbow... i never thought of that one since Erin took a longbow.

Here is the reference about the Chainmail hampering you and where you gave it to Ox:
Arpat wrote:Erin already 'took' the chainmail, but offers it to the other members as well
"We did it all together..." she states "so i have no more right to it then any one of you... "

"i am thinking" she continues "the chainmail will hamper my movement, slow me down... and i need to adjust it for my size as well. Maybe one of the tough guys would like to have it?"
Erin sees Ox gawk with big eyes at 'her' beautiful shiny chainmail armor, so she hands it over to him... i guess it suits you better then me!

I don't mind going back into my previous armor if you prefer to keep this Chainmail. Just let me know so I can update the .tos file for the DM

Does Kezurkian's Halberd really has a critical range of 19-20?
Normally a Halberd has a critical range of 20.

I'm not sure what I did, or what I was thinking. He does not have a keen weapon and does not qualify for imp crit. I think I say the 30 and got excited, but I don't know. The crit is invalid and the damage is only 6. I've corrected on maptool and next map will be correct.

I think I'm just blind, but I can't find reference to action points in the PRD. What source are we using for the action point options?

We are in the same day you used your smite on that Ogre... once we won the fight, we called in the princess and later on, she wanted us to 'secure' the surroundings (as far as I recall without re-reading the thread!)

Claiming the battle market and defeating this demon are within the same period. You attacked the BM at night and it's still dark now; maybe an hour or two before sunup.

Yeah, how much you offering for me to let you do this? :2c:

What character concept were you looking to bring in? Whatever your background, it will have to pertain mostly to Kelmarane since this is where you'll have been to meet the party.

We have banned the Alchemist from future Pathfinder campaign at my Friday-night game; It is extremely unbalanced (we have found out the 'hard' way!). He could handle many encounters by himself just by throwing a few bombs at the enemy. At higher levels, his bombs are not affected bu Spell Resistance!! In the very few instances where he ran out of bombs, he took Mutagens to become a large hulk and smash foes! NuTz I tell you!

The Player Guides from Paizo are FREE as downloadable PDFs.
