Since there were enough advance actions posted and it seemed Marcus and Lola were going to stay in wait and see mode, this covers both the quick and full validations.

 

Round 1

Marcus advances but not so far as to get into melee. He waits to see the full extent of what faces the party.

Cyrius waits for Texudus and Evan to shoot.

Since there is a bunch of noise, Lola moves up but stays behind the rest of the party, her crossbow loaded and ready.

The grimlocks again fling javelins at Tex. One is nowhere close, the other an incredibly well-placed shot that Tex manages to duck at the last second.

Worrel stows his longbow, then readies his shield as he advances in front of Lola and Marcus.

Prost takes aim at the largest grimlock and fires. He hits [6 hp damage, no sneak attack because the target is more than 30 feet away]. He reloads his crossbow.

Cursing, Tex lets an arrow fly at the other grimlock. Although Prost is short, firing over his head still proves a distraction and Tex misses.

Cyrius advances in front of Tex and Prost and fires his crossbow. His shot nicks the same grimlock as Prost [1 hp damage].

Round 2 Begins

Marcus and Lola wait to see what happens next.

With excited grunts, grimlocks 1 and 2 draw and fling javelins at Cyrius. Both miss. Furthermore, they now appear to be out of ammunition...

Round 2 Continues

Worrel continues to advance, passing Tex, Prost and Cyrius. Startled by what he sees, he yells ut a warning, Lots of grimlocks! They have javelins and longspears and they're up on the ledge, too!. The paladin clutches his shield tighter in anticipation of what he is about to receive.

Prost quietly moves forward and fires on Grimlock 1. With his line of sight obscured by Worrel, Prost misses [Worrel gives the grimlocks cover].

“Stay in the tunnel, let them come to us,” Tex says as he fires another arrow at Grimlock 2. Realizing that he is again running short on ammo, he just targets center mass. Again, with allies providing cover, he misses.

Hearing the paladin's warning, Cyrius remains where he is and reloads his crossbow. With a wounded grimlock in his sights, he takes another shot. In spite of his intervening allies, he hits and kills Grimlock 1 [crit not confirmed, but still 7 hp damage].

Round 3 Begins

Marcus does nothing.

Lola continues to wait at the end of the line, keeping an eye out for things coming up behind her.

Grimlock 3 steps into the place once occupied by fallen Grimlock 1 and flings a javelin at Worrel, missing badly.

Grimlocks 2 and 4 trade places, with Grimlock 4 tossing his javelin at Worrel, to no success.

Round 3 Continues

Reconsidering his tactics, Worrell drops his shield and draws his bow. He fires once at the southernmost grimlock on the higher level. With excellent aim, he plugs grimlock 6, causing the creature to howl [7 hp damage].

Prost moves quietly forward, trying to use Worrel as cover so as not to be seen. Then fires on grimlock 4, but misses, thanks to having having to peek around Worrel in order to aim.

Tex targets grimlock 3, and lets one go. Even with Worrel in the way, his aim is unerring [8 hp damage].

Cyrius reloads his crossbow and lets fly at grimlock 4. He is nowhere close to hitting.

Round 4 Begins

Marcus advances further up the tunnel to better see what's at hand. He cannot get a glimpse of the cavern without passing in front of Tex, however.

Lola stays in the back since she does not want to go into the bigger area. She follows Marcus and keeps an eye out for things behind them.

Grimlocks 3, 4, 5, and 6 all throw their javelins at Worrel. None of them is even close to hitting.

Worrell fires again at the same grimlock, hoping to dispatch it, but misses this time.

Prost, hoping he hasn't been spotted by the eyeless creatures, loads his crossbow and fires at grimlock 3. He also misses.

Tex, counting down his arrows, moves up to behind Prost and lets a shot fly at grimlock 4. He also also misses.

Undaunted, Cyrius reloads his crossbow and shoots again, this time aiming at grimlock 4. He breaks the streak of misses and skewers the creature, killing it [crit didn't confirm, but it didn't need to]

Round 5 Begins

Marcus advances to be behind Tex, loaded crossbow readied.

Lola follows Marcus as far as she can. She can now see into the cavern ahead. She keeps ready her crossbow for any action in front of or behind the group.

Shouted grunts are heard from the shadows to the right of the cavern entrance. Another grimlock (G7) emerges from those shadows to take the place of fallen grimlock 4. Grimlock 2 steps into the shadows and is replaced by grimlock 8. Five grimlocks (3, 5, 6, 7, and 8) now throw javelins at Worrel. One of them actually manages to find a chink in the paladin's armor [8 hp damage].
