The party trusses up and gags Grallak Kur, then hauls his unconscious form through the rough-hewn grimlock caves. By the time they reach the cavern with the high cliffs, everyone's pretty tired out, so they pause to rest in the narrow overhead tunnel. The group awakens to Grallak Kur, now conscious, struggling and making muffled noises against his bonds. They continue to drag him out of the caves and emerge through the trapdoor in the "Dark Cathedral." They find that a few things have changed here:
- First, the carts the party hauled through the mines have moved. They are now inside the cathedral itself, no longer in the entranceway.
- Also, the carts are completely empty of all the supplies they previously contained. This includes Cyrius' backpack and all of the treasure the party had stored therein!
- Finally, the door to the south, previously closed and locked, is now wide open. A hallway lead south into the darkness there...
