The Back worksheet contains complementary information to round up your character.

Armor

The Armor section allows you to select which armor your Character is currently wearing. Simply select it in the large white area. The relevant statistics will show up relative to the selected Armor. You can also adjust the bonus granted by the armor manually in the white Adj. box, and the same holds true for the Armor check adjustment box. You can type a line of Notes at the bottom.

TOS+ contains the armor listed in the [SRD], and includes the [Specific Armors] and the [Epic Magical Armors]. If you use an Armor not found in these lists, you can create it on the Gears worksheet.

Shield

The Shield section allows you to select which shield your Character is currently holding. Simply select it in the large white area, where None is found. The relevant statistics will show up relative to the selected Shield. You can also adjust the bonus granted by the shield manually in the white Adj. box, and the same holds true for the Shield check adjustment box. You can type a line of Notes at the bottom.

Magical Items Worn

The Magical Items Worn section allows you to assign magical items onto your Character. The [SRD] defines [11 locations] where an humanoid-shaped body can wear magical items. This section is used to indicate which magical items you wear on various parts of your body (with the exception of Armor, magical or otherwise).

In the upper-right of the example image below, the List allows the Player to select which category of items will be available in the various list boxes.

The Section also allows the definition of 5 'extra' spots, in case they are required (slots #12 to #16). In the example below, the [Hand of Glory] allows for a 3rd ring to be defined. So the tag Third Ring was added in the Gray area, and the 3rd ring itself was selected.

Note that all the tags in this section (Head, Eyes, Neck... etc) can be modified to any tags name you wish. This is to allow for non-humanoid physiology which may require a different setup. If you redefine the initial tags and use the Save Character feature, their values will be saved in the .tos file. And if you reset the Character, the basic 'humanoid-shaped' tags will return.

TOS+ includes the following items that can be used here:

If you wish to create a custom magical item, you can do so on the Items worksheet.

TOS+ does not enforce valid locations for magical items. This means that if you really want to wear a ring on your head, or a pair of boots over your eyes, the Sheet will not object and will still apply the item's effects. We assume a smart Player can make this distinction himself.

Coins & Gems

The Coin & Gems section, with a few entries.

This section lists your current wealth in coins and gems, as defined in the Treasure Worksheet. This may include wealth that it located elsewhere than on your Character.

Carried Gear

The Carried Gear section can be used in serveral ways. Before we detail those, lets examine the various sections. Here is an image of the top portion and the bottom portion of the Carried Gear:
The TOP portion and the BOTTOM portion of the Carrier Gear section. Split into three groups of column with 23 entries per column, the gear section can hold 69 entries.
  1. The List section is used to choose which group of items will be shown for each entry in the actual gear section. This is extremely useful to quickly select items from a specific group.
  2. This larger area is the actual holding space for the named of the carrier item.
  3. There are 3 columns here:
    1. the Loc. column represent a Location, which an be used in conjunction with the Location box.
    2. the qty is used to enter the quantity for multiple items. If nothing is entered, it is assumed you have 0 of that item.
    3. the lb column, in gray, contains the weight of these items. If an item has a location, then it will have no weight on the character, and this column will be empty. Also not that very light items may not show up as the value are 'rounded' down for display purposes.
  4. the total weight carried by your character. This also includes the weight of the Magical Items worn, and the coinage carrier on the Character.
  5. The Load Class of the Character, which also takes into account the armor & shield worn.
  6. The maximum dexterity allowed due to the load class.
  7. The armor check penalty incurred with all that weight on the character.
  8. The total value of all the possessions of the character.

How to list your Carried Gear

The standard method to use the Carried Gear section is to list items carried on your character. Here is an example:
Sample of a few gear items carried by the Character. Only the Top portion is shown. The total weight is 9.3lb

To add the items above, we first selected the desired list, selected the item required, and typed in the quantity carried. The Bedroll comes from the Equipment list. The potion of cure light wounds is from the Potion list, and as seen above, the Longsword is from the Weapons list.

If you look carefully, you will notice that the weight entry for the Potions is missing. This is because the weight column will not show decimal, and the total weight of the 3 potion is below 1 lb (.3 lb. to be exact) TOS+ still adds these decimals even if they are not shown here.

The weapons you define on the FRONT worksheet must also be defined in the Gear section. This is because the Front worksheet allows you to define multiple ways to use the same weapon. TOS+ has no other way to know if you really have two Longswords, or that you have defined two ways to use your Longsword. Don't worry if you forget, the Sheet will remind you in the INFO section.

How to list Gear that you are not carrying

Owned gear shown at other locations.

TOS+ allows you to define gear that you own and that is part of your overall character value, yet that you are not carrying on yourself (meaning you do not incur the weight on yourself). This is where the Location column comes into play. For instance, if you own a Alchemist's lab, chances are the 40 lb Lab is not on your back!

To denote this, a tower tag was used in the Location column, as seen on the right.

If you had a weapon cache, you could simply use another location tag to show this (wpn-c in this case)

How to list Gear inside a non-magical Container

Gear shown inside a regular Backpack (image manipulated for demo. purposes)

To create a non-magical container like a regular Backpack, we need to use the LOCATIONS section. As you can see, we defined one Backpack, then filled it with some items which have all the BP tag in their Location column. With that Tag, the weight of these items are not listed. But by adding the same tag, BP, in the LOCATIONS section allows us to see the weight of the stuff our backpack carries. Finally, to indicate that we are ALSO carrying the content of the Backpack, we add the BP tag in the Carried Gear which corresponds to the total weight of the Backpack's content (3 lb. in this case).

How to list Gear inside a magical Container

Gear shown inside a Bag of Holding (image manipulated for demo. purposes)

To add gear in a magical container like a Bag of Holding, we follow the same procedure for a regular container, but we skip the last part. Indeed, since the items inside the Bag of Holding do not count toward your carried weight, we do not need to add those. Only the weight of the Bag of Holding is applied. Note that the LOCATIONS section is useful to track the total weight of the items inside the Bag of Holding, as not to exceed its limits.

Encumbrance

The encumbrance section, with a strength score of 10.

The Encumbrance section shows your character's weight limits for light, medium and heavy load, as well as the maximum lifting capacity and the maximum push or drag weight. An Adj box is provided if you need to adjust the strength score used for encumbrance computations.
