Worrell pulls an arrow from his quiver and carefully draws his bow back, sighting on the first grimlock archer. Hopefully the arrow flies true and strikes the grimlock.

Concerned that the grimlocks are calling for reinforcements, Worrel moves to put himself ahead of Cyrius and Lola, closer to the passage way. He completes the switch to using his sword and shield as he does so.


[ooc]Advance to 0418 on ground level, wielding sword and shield as he does so.[/ooc]

Worrell stows his bow and prepares to follow Lola down. The paladin secures his weapons and shield before carefully descending.

Once he is down, Worrell swings his shield into place and draws his sword in case anything threatens them.

[talk]I am burdened by my armor so this climb won't be easy for me. Taking it off would make it easier, but that takes time and even more time to get it back on again,[/talk] says the half-elf paladin. Worrell will come up to the cliff's edge with the others, ready to fire upon anything that appears dangerous.

Satisfied that they have found everything of importance, Worrell wipes down his sword before sheathing it. After slinging his shield over his back, the paladin draws his bow and tests its draw. In this endeavour, he will very likely be of greater use when prepared to engage any lurking opponents at ...

Worrell turns next to the body of the grimlock and, for good measure, the two krenshars. THINKING: Perhaps their belongings may provide some clue to what lies beyond, thinks the paladin. Hopefully Lola will search as well, given how little he found in the campsite.

Worrell picks through the remains of the campsite, taking his time, before joining his companions near the cliff edge. If someone more skilled at such things joined him, he would be pleased. Worrell will Take 10, if possible, with a result of 15 If he instead Aids Another, Perception roll is [dice]0...

Worrell re-doubles his efforts, hoping that the distraction provided by Cyrius causes a gap in the defenses of the grimlock.

While he is waiting for the ground to remain to normal, Worrell activates his Pearl of Power in case his companions require another use of his spell. Worrell swings his longsword at the krenshar. Hopefully he does enough damage to kill the beast.

Worrell advances to engage the krenshar but cannot attack.

Worrell advances into the chamber to allow his companions to move ahead. After Marcus has done whatever he is going to do, the paladin moves further in to engage the grimlock and krenshar.

Worrell mutters a prayer and gestures to form the symbol of Mitra in the air before him, casting Bless on himself and his companions. Once that is done, the paladin moves forward to replace Prost.

Once Prost moves, Worrel moves ahead to take his place near the entrance of the chamber.


[spoiler]Double move to 0207[/spoiler]

Worrell sees Prost and Tex creep ahead quietly. Understanding that stealth is now needed, the paladin doesn't move but readies himself to rush ahead once he is needed.

When his attention is drawn to the bodies, Worrell glances at the pattern. He shrugs, muttering [talk]Looks interesting but means nothing to me.[/talk] Once Prost moves ahead, Worrell follows along in the middle of the group. If there is light, he will look ahead for signs of more enemies. [dice]0[/...

Worrel moves to place himself in the far entrance to the chamber between his companions and any possible threat coming towards them. He glances around to help with the search as he moves.

If he needs to, Worrell swings at the grimlock and opens a gaping wound. If Tex's arrow killed the creature, Worrell stays in position at the edge of the light in case something comes from the tunnel to the southwest.

THINKING: Better take the fight to them instead of standing back here to be a pincushion is what Worrel's tactical training leads him to believe. Once the way is clear, the paladin moves across the chamber until he is beside the two grimlocks.

Once Cyrius has moved, Worrel will advance towards the chamber. As he moves, he draws his sword and prepares to engage in combat.

Worrell strains to hear anything from ahead, nearly rushign ahead when he hears one of his companions make a loud noise. The paladin remains in place, however, until they actually call or shout for help.
