When a draconic predator threatens the food supply of a northern village, it is up to a group of heroes to track the creature back to its lair and end the threat it poses.
Ensuring the security of their sleds and dog teams outside the cavern, the companions take a brief pause to gather their thoughts. During this momentary interlude, Sirilk takes on the role of scout, venturing ahead to assess the entrance of the Ice Cavern. As he advances, his keen eyes take in the tunnel-like opening that stretches about 20 feet. The interior, bathed in a diffused light that filters in from the sun, reveals an almost surreal luminescence that casts intriguing shadows against the icy surfaces. His heart echoes with gratitude for their swift sleds, for the realization dawns that had they chosen to trek on foot, the encroaching dusk would have transformed this place into an abyss of darkness.
Having ascertained the safety of the entrance, Sirilk signals for his companions to join him, and they all enter the icy cavern. The ground beneath their boots is firm, compacted snow, rendering any tracking efforts futile at this stage. A subtle symphony of shifting ice echoes within the cavern, a gentle reminder that this whole structure is suspended atop the frozen bay, held in delicate balance above the frigid waters below. Despite this constant tension, the cavern exudes an unexpected sense of sturdiness and beauty.
As sunlight filters through the cavern's surfaces, the play of light and shadow creates a mesmerizing dance upon the icy walls. The companions find themselves in a serene, almost otherworldly environment, their journey taking an enigmatic turn as they step further into the heart of the cavern.

Mazer will allow Falas and Siril to do their thing. He will keep back a space or two to not spoil their efforts.
He will use the exploration: Defend, just in case.
If no one is searching for traps, Falas will switch to exploration:search mode. He is wielding rapier + dagger.
He moves quietly to D4, hoping his low light vision will show him more of the space.
Van will have shield strapped to left arm while holding his holy symbol in his left hand (the holy symbol is on a long loop around his neck) and his scimitar in his right hand.

Mazer, however, remains vigilant, his senses sharpened, ready to raise his shield at a moment's notice should danger rear its head. His unwavering focus is a sentinel's sentinel in this seemingly serene but unpredictable environment.
Siril, mindful of the potential perils that could lurk in this icy realm, moves with utmost care. His steps are as silent as his presence, a whisper in the cavern's cracking noises, ensuring that neither his footsteps nor his actions betray his presence to any lurking threats.

Currently, the hard ice does not provide any tracks to follow. This is why I didn't request a Perception roll for those who are in the Search Exploration mode..

In that case, he'll carefully sneak to F8 and peek around the corner, If he sees anything he sneaks back to E7. If not he stays at F8.
Falas continues to try and be quiet while searching for traps, moving G5, peeking around.. if sees nothing, then sneaks to H4 - sticking close to walls to try for cover for all moves.
As the companions continue to explore, a creatures moves into view and hisses at you when it spots you.
OUT OF CHARACTER
Roll for Initiative - those who are using "Avoid Notice" can use Stealth instead of perception.
Siril and Van do not have line of sight to the creature, but can infer its approximate direction as per the 'hissing' noise it made.
Mazer sees the creature and moves to engage.
