Lola will hold her shot in case he tries to escape, she does not want to shoot a friend.
Re: [Active Thread] The Second Face of Evil
Round 11 Continues
Worrel swings his longsword again, hoping to get past the grimlock's defense. He is not successful.
Charging his mind blade with psychic strike energy and with a silent prayer of thanks to Athena, Cyrius slashes at Grallak Kur again, to no avail.
Lola holds her shot in case Grallak Kur tries to escape.
With his comrades in close range of the chieftain, Marcus' idea to drop the grimlock in a pit is tabled. He instead lashes out with an electrical ray. His aim is not quite good enough, however.
Round 12 Begins
Seeing Grallak Kur cornered, Tex moves to position himself right above the grimlock.
Prost draws his short sword and attacks Grallak Kur with it, connecting for a minor flesh wound [2 hp damage]
Grallak Kur continues to assault Prost. This time, he connects [9 hp damage].

Worrel keeps trying to hit the grimlock with his sword, making another careful swing. Not accurate enough, however.
THINKING: Fortunes of battle, Cyrius consoles himself as he again charges his mind blade with psychic energy and strikes at Grallak Kur. This time his fortunes have changed and his strike connects [8 hp damage].
Lola reloads her crossbow.
Marcus moves beside Tex to fire his last ray at the chieftain. This time his aim is true, but just as the electrical bolt is about to strike Grallak Kur, it is deflected by the chaotic field of multicolored hues that still surrounds him [failed the miss chance created by entropic shield].
Round 13 Begins
Tex fires down on the cornered foe, but his aim is insufficient.
Smarting from the last hit, Prost attacks, with no result, then takes a steps back.
Grallak Kur sneers as Prost retreats. He turns his attention to Cyrius and assigns some retribution for earlier in the round [7 hp damage].

[ooc]I am posting two options since I am not sure the first one is doable[/ooc]
If Lola can she will move to 1734 (30' move) and shoot down on Grim (not sure if there are any +/-s by being directly above). If she cannot move and fire she will just fire from here.
[dice]0[/dice] to hit (with -4 for melee)
[dice]1[/dice] if hits
[ooc]Had Bless on on the sheet, not sure if it is still on or not so the shot may only be +0 rather then +1.[/ooc]

Marcus calls to his company, “If you can step back a bit I might be able to drop him in a pit. It might break some of his spells.” He holds his action, hoping his allies will step back enough for him to summon a pit below the chieftain.

Worrel steps back from the edge of the pit and sheathes his longsword and drops his shield. Worrel then readies his bow so that he can fire down upon the grimlock [Note that the pit is 30 feet deep. In order to shoot down at Grallak, you'll need to move back adjacent to the edge...].
Cyrius flings his mind blade down at the grimlock sprawled ignominiously in the pit, but misses. Then he takes step back and re-manifests his weapon in its longsword form.
Lola fires down at Grallak, but also misses.
Round 16 Begins
Tex continues to fire down on the chieftain, likewise to no avail.
Prost waits for Grallak Kur to come within range of his MW Shortsword... He manages to not fall into the pit while he does so [made a reflex save]
Pleased that his pit earned some of his desired intent, Marcus fires his crossbow at the grimlock. In spite of a fairly well-aimed shot, he misses just like everyone else. He reloads.
Grallak Kur curses as he stands up amid a hail of bolts and arrows. He sheathes his weapon and prepares to climb the walls of the pit.

Those who end their turn adjacent to the pit (squares 1731, 1831, 1931, 1932, 1933, or 1834) need a Reflex save at a +2 bonus vs DC16 to avoid falling in. For the record, as a kind DM, I took CGM's suggestion and did not give Grallak a +4 to AC for being prone. You all still didn't roll well enough to hit him. Round 16 Continues Worrel: longbow readied, shield dropped at 1730, 42 arrows left, 0 lay on hands left, 13 hp damage Cyrius of the Sudden Blade: mind blade longsword readied, crossbow dropped at 0829, sunrod tucked in boot, 13 bolts left, 21 hp damage Lola: unloaded heavy crossbow readied, wand of CLW 14 charges left (stowed), 25 bolts left, 0 channel energy, 5 storm burst left, only domain spells left, 3 hp damage Round 17 Begins Texudus TreeBender: longbow readied, 43 arrows left, 12 hp damage Evan Prost: short sword readied, slingstaff dropped at 1832, 13 regular bullets left, ZERO (0) bolts left, darkvision 154.9 min, 24 hp damage Marcus Tilsworth: loaded crossbow readied, 0 elemental rays left, 17 bolts left, 13 hp damage Grallak Kur - many spells in effect, but finally visible, 45 hp damage Grimlock 1 - DEAD Grimlock 2 - DEAD Grimlock 3 - DEAD ----> Validation |
Re: [Active Thread] The Second Face of Evil
Figuring he has a round or two before Grallak Kur climbs out of the pit -- and not willing to dare the treacherous edge -- Cyrius charges his mind blade with psychic energy.
