Diplomacy check: with regalia out.

Discord: 13 (roll 5).
I have a key, but I'm not sharing it. I'm sure Master Ecmund is just sleeping off his drink from last night. Perhaps you could find ways around town to prep for your travels while you wait for him to wake?

My apologies. Focusing on Mother's Day, I completely missed that you had wanted to seek out the innkeeper.

My somewhat limited experience with lockpicks is that they come in sets with certain configurations being ideal for different locks. Could I try again with a different pick? Once the innkeeper is absent of course.

Sorry, the way it works in Pathfinder 2e is that the set is broken. It can be repaired, but that requires 10 minutes and access to a repair kit. Replacement picks can also be purchased for less than a new set would cost.

Tover will follow the group walking downstairs to the innkeeper. When everyone is done he asks
Kinda new to heading into this wet wilderness, anything particular you may have heard about or suggest we buy to prepare? ex: I think starting fire may be hard, same with keeping it burning.. is there anything special we should consider to help Ecmund and us while wandering into the wet wilderness? Maybe a store you could recommend selling reasonably priced waterproof tents?

Pixel follow, obviously sad not to have started the Adventuring part of the journey. Yet, he perks up at the mention of FIRE and listens more attentively, keeping quiet.

with Master Pixel I think we have the fire covered but I do agree other supplies are a wise idea. One of us might remain here should our benefactors does wake

You all set out to explore the nearest market, looking for supplies and knowledge for how to succeed at jungle exploration.

Arkyat learns some unique tricks that can be used to mitigate hazards; knowing to score trees on two sides when trailblazing or using the smoke from burning termite nests to cure fungal infections and dry clothing.

Inva learns how to spot the territorial markings of the Jungle drake.

Pixel learns about a sap that burns for a long time, making it excellent for evening fires.

Tover looks at the stores of a Jungle Supplies vendor, but is dissatisfied with the quality of the goods.

Victor learns about a leaf that can be used to bundle supplies to keep them dry while wading across rivers.
OUT OF CHARACTER
Arkyat now has a +1 circumstance bonus to all skill checks in scene 2.

Inva, Pixel, and Victor now have a +1 circumstance bonus to Nature and Survival checks in scene 2. Tover acquired this bonus earlier in the story.

Replacement picks cost 3 sp.

When you return to the inn, at about noon, you find Ecmund cheerily eating his breakfast. Ah, I see you all are ready to go. Fantastic. We should be able to make some real progress leaving at such an early hour!

Ah...yes. Early hours... Pixel looks at the food on the table.

But first, we need food too!! Cannot go with empty belly! You give us breakfast too, right? he asks the Dwarf.

Looks are the dwarf perplexed it is almost midday not sure that is an early start. We will not get much daylight and will require spell light to move as I am sure there is a canopy. But master Pixel is correct a full belly with good food is wise. As we will be living off the land and trail rations
