Outside, but where?
Thanis and Shareev turn back to return up the corridor left by the what-is-it and the rest of you follow, Oldin and Esias each dragging an arm from the what-is-it. Shareev's box-on-wheels, now full of parts of the what-is-it, follows dutifully behind him. [The arms were detached as part of Shareev's operation - he took the joints and put them in his box.]
As you pass out of the range of the strobe lights still flashing atop the hulk of the what-is-it, Shareev reaches into his pack and pulls out a globe of some unknown material, which lights up and begins to float above his head, following along with him. It provides plenty of light for you to see the corridor, which you find is quite smooth, flat on the floor, with an arched ceiling. It's almost as if the stone has been fused into glass.
After maybe 300 yards of following the gently sloping corridor upwards, you emerge from a archway cut into a hillside into bright sunlight. All about you are hills, but there is no sign of the snow-covered grasses you tread before decending into the Prelate's lair. The ground is all gritty dust and it is hot, very hot. Thanis and Shareev seem not at all suprised by the weather conditions.

Esias stops to look at the surrounding terrain with a baffled expression on his face, turns slowly around several times, keenly observing the topography of the dusty hills. Frowning, he seems to be speaking to himself as much as the rest of the party when he says, "Judgin' by the shapes o' them hills, this should be pretty near where we left Tilden 'n' the horses. Only... there's no trees, there's no grass, there's no sign o' halfling or beast, and... it's too cursed hot for this t' be Tharbria, even if 'twere high summer!"
His bewilderment is obvious as he blurts, "Wanderer's paths, where are we?"

"Amon, Jiam's brothers who are followers of Mycr--the One God--sent him with an orb that was meant to disrupt the Prelate's power. I had your father and the Gnosophim investigate it to see if they could determine any additional properties that would be useful if we came to blows with the Prelate. We were informed that it worked by severing the connection between the Prelate and his power.
"The desired result was to prevent the Prelate from doing you harm, but the Prelate cast a protective spell that shattered the orb before it reached its intended target (his altar). Now, we are somewhere else, so I wonder if the severing of the Prelate and his power was meant to also send the Prelate here, wherever here is."

Leenah looks around her brows furrowed with confusion at the change in season. She draws her bow and readies an arrow, searching the area around her for some clue as to what happened.

Examining the area more closely reveals no sign of Tildon or the horses, nor any explanation for what might have happened to change the weather and vegetation. You observe no particular threat or anything out of the ordinary, other than the fact that the location seems to have gone from snowy to arid.
Thanis and Shareev seem amused by your confusion and set out in a southward direction, Shareev’s box on wheels following along.
[I’m assuming, since you seemed to agree it was the best plan before, that you are following Thanis and Shareev to their home, which is a two day walk to the south. I’m putting up an unvalidated roleplay thread to cover the travel and another, which will be validated, to skip ahead to your arrival]
