“A cue if ever I saw one,” Cyrius remarks. “It may take all of us to get that lid off.” He moves to the side of the sarcophagus (2130) and waits for the others to do likewise in order to raise the lid.

Cyrius, Tex, and Lola remove the lid from the sarcophagus, which proves to be rather easier than expected. Any one of them could have accomplished it alone, with a little effort.

Inside, there is no corpse or skeleton, only a few objects:

• a slight silver diadem inscribed with the same glyph as the one shown in the bas relief and on the sarcophagus lid
• two long slightly curved black horns with red tips, identical to the ones on the head of the demoniac figure in the bas relief
• a pewter box inscribed with alien, writhing letterforms; melted metal seals the lid of the box

OUT-OF-CHARACTER:    I have a picture of the diadem, but not the other objects. You can use your imagination for those.

“Should we try to open the box, or take it back and see if Master Penkawr can tell us anything about it?” Cyrius. “I suggest the latter; he may be able to identify the diadem and horns as well.”

“I agree, it looks pretty sealed anyway. GAther it up, and lets see if we can get out of here. We should close everything up on the way out.”
