Control Worksheet

The Control worksheet is the heart and soul of the Sheet. It allows you to Load and Save many aspects of your work. Characters, Races and Classes can all be saved and loaded back into the Sheet. The outputs generated by the Sheet are files with the extension ".tos" (it stands for 'The Only Sheet').

Character section Character buttons: empty (left), non-empty (right) Use the Character section to manage your current character. You can Load, Save or Reset your character. Once you define a character name, it will appear in this section. Reset Character: Reset will completely erase all character information of the sheet, giving you a blank slate to work on. Load Character: The Sheet can load any .tos file. Note that TOS+ cannot load the files created by TOS FREE, which used the .mcs extension. Save Character: This button is used to save your character to a .tos file.

The .tos files that the sheet generates are perfect to email to other subscriber to the Sheet! If your GM is also a subscriber to the Sheet, he could use your .tos file for the DM Tool!

Race section Race buttons: empty (left), non-empty (right) Use the Race section to manage a custom Race (which is not already integrated in the Sheet - check the Race List for a list of all Races already available in TOS+!) You can Load, Save or Clear your custom Race. Load Race: Load Race will allow you to load a custom race to use for your character. Save Race: Save your custom race to a .tos file. Note that the word Race will be appended to the selected file name when you save. This is to indicate that this .tos file should be loaded as a Race. Clear Race: Erases your custom Race.

There are many Races that have been created by the users on the Community Forum, and more are posted every day! You can also get help from the community if you are trying your hand at creating new content.

Class section Class buttons: empty (left), defined but not used (middle), in use (right) Use the three Class sections to manage up to 3 custom classes (which are not already integrated in the Sheet - check the Class List for a list of all Classes already available in TOS+!). Only slot #1 is shown on the right. You can Load, Save or Clear your custom Class. Load Class: Allow you to load a custom class in one of the Class slots. Once loaded, the words not used will be shown to indicate the class has not been selected on the Front Worksheet. Save Class: Save your custom class to a .tos file. TOS+ will append the word class to the file name. Clear Class: Erases your custom Class.

There are many Classes that have been created by the users on the Community Forum, and more are posted every day! You can also get help from the community if you are trying your hand at creating new content.

Spell List Spell List: empty (left), with class (right) Use the Spell List to generate a list of all your spells that you can cast for your selected casting class. This is most useful for those who play with paper (i.e. not on a Laptop) and want to select the spells they have studied for the day. Divine casters are most likely to use this, as they have access to a huge list of spell they can pray for. Level Adj.: Adjust the level of your selected class. Create Spell List: Press this to create the spell list. Higher level characters will get many worksheets which can be printed. Delete Spell List: Press this to delete all the lists that were generated.

Spell Lists are not saved with the .tos file - you can generate them on the fly as needed.

The Visibility sections

The visibility sections (which contain the Worksheet, Support and Data sections) are user to activate or deactivate various worksheets. When a worksheet is active, a small check mark is visible just beside the appropriate button, to show this worksheet is already active (and visible). Worksheets that are hidden do not have this check mark.

This group of worksheets are all those that can be printed.

Support Visibility

This group of worksheets are there to support your character.

Data Visibility

This group of worksheets are mostly to augment your Character with more Data.

Status section

The Status section will display errors and warnings related to the current character. These errors are also visible on the back worksheet, in the INFO area.

Creator's Note section

The creator of the Character can write Notes in this area. This will be saved with the Character (in the .tos file)
