Sorry for the delay. Forum was down and then I was out of town.

I show that Worrel is out of lay on hands uses. Does he want to do something else? I've been letting you attack around corners in this maze (applying cover), so he could step up and swing. Or he could ready his wand of CLW to do some healing next round.

Round 16 Begins

Knowing he faces a foe, Cyrius steps up and thrusts twice at the false Worrel. He misses twice.

Angry as he is, Worrel steps west and attacks the imposter wearing his face. Due to the difficulty imposed by the corner of the mirror wall (cover), he just barely misses.

Tex moves around the corner to behind Worrel (W1). As he passes by, W2 takes the opportunity to swing at Tex around the edge of the mirror wall. With some unexpected luck, his longsword tears open a long gash in Tex's side [13 hp damage]. With a couple of arrows on the bowstring ready to fire, Tex glances back at where the party left the tied up, knocked-out, doppleganger. Tex can see he's still there.

Lola sees west side is kinda boxed up, and doesn't know about the newly raised wall, so she thinks to "go around." She makes her way east, then south just to find a wall.... so then she stows her crossbow.

Ardrea moves into the corridor behind Cyrius, Worrel, and Tex. She is fortunate that Tex already absorbed W2's attack of opportunity. Seeing the naughty Worrel, she commands the whip to attack. The whip just barely misses.

Prost maneuvers Fluffy to within sight of W2, loading his sling-staff on the way. He fires but misses because of cover from the mirror walls.

No one sees what's going on at 1225.

Worrel's (W2's) first swing misses, but his second is sharp and sudden, a stifling onslaught that cuts through Cyrius before he can react defensively [potential critical, not confirmed, still 12 hp damage]. W2 then steps back into the dead end alcove, limiting access to his location a bit more.
OUT OF CHARACTER
In his new position, W2 can be attacked without penalty from 0724, if you're not afraid to step on the pressure plate. He can be attacked with cover from 0624 and at range with cover from 0623 and 0622. There's no line of sight elsewhere.

OUT OF CHARACTER
All of the blue and purple lines on the map are walls lined with mirrors.

If so Prost will put Burgler's Bracers to good use

Round 17 Begins (and Ends)

Wary of the pressure plate, Cyrius thrusts at the false Worrel from around the corner. With a surefooted lunge, he connects and his enemy snaps erect then crumples in reply [15 hp damage brings W2 down].

Lying on the floor, W2 transforms back into a (armed and armored) doppelganger, fails to stabilize, and bleeds.

I think we search the dopplegangers, heal up using the wand, carefully explore the rest of this floor, then have a look at the two doors? OK everyone?

OUT OF CHARACTER
Summary of recent events:

You traveled from Rastingdrung to Tula, City State of Mages, to consult with Eligos the sage, an old friend of your patron Master Penkawr. You met with Eligos and presented him with some information you gathered related to some kind of conspiracy involving the Triad of Sixes cult and an "Age of Worms." Eligos agreed to look into the matter, but reported that the research would likely take some time.

While waiting on Eligos' findings, you stayed an inn in the Garden District of Tula called the Crooked House. While there, a "merchant" named Elaxan tried to frame Lola for attempting to murder Tarquin the innkeeper. Evidence on Elaxan, including a key, led you to a company called "Sodden and Co." and this seemingly abandoned warehouse, where you've discovered an underground complex and a whole gang of doppelgangers. And also some other shapeshifter- or illusion-themed monsters (mimics, invisible stalkers, aranea).

Why's this gang of doppelgangers out to get you? Do they have something against Lola specifically? Are they somehow connected to the Triad of Sixes?

I'll give you a hint that there's only a bit more of this location left to explore. Probably two more combats...

Prost conducts a thorough search of the maze. This takes about 10 minutes, but he discovers a large number of pressure plates. These are in pairs set up so that when someone stands on both, a wall pops up between them. Prost also finds the hidden switch on each plate that causes the wall to drop back down. He finds nothing else suspicious.
OUT OF CHARACTER
Purple solid walls are those that are currently up; purple dotted walls are those that are currently down. Now that Prost has figured out how they work, you are free to change the status of the purple walls if you want. Prost could also jam the pressure plates, if you want, but I haven't accounted for the time to do that yet

During this time, the invisible doppelgangers become visible again. One is dead. Two are unconscious but stable.

OUT OF CHARACTER
The rest of you are free to take other actions while Prost is searching. Or plan something and wait until he's done to do it as a group.

All of the blue and purple lines on the map are walls lined with mirrors.

Prost remembers when the maze battle started,,, THINKING: The doppelganger stepping back from Cyrius and shouts "They're here! Go tell Telakin!" Tex who is Telakin, and do you think one of the doppelgangers was able get to him with a warning...If so which of the door do you think it went through?Maybe the East door...we got to the South door fairly quickly...
OUT OF CHARACTER
Pat during our search of the area would we notice anything that would be a clue of as to which of the two door was accessed recently?

The east door doesn't look like it's been opened in a long time. The south door maybe has seen recent use. No one has heard the name Telakin before entering this place.

Well it seems that someone recently entered the door to the south, and I think that should move quickly as soon as everyone heals up, we should move before bad guys can react. Let tell the others. Prost comments also, whoever went to notify this Tolkin had to go through the south door.
